- Heater Placement: Ensure the heater is installed according to the manufacturer's specifications regarding clearances from walls and benches. Do not place flammable materials near the heater.
- Sauna Rocks: Use only approved sauna rocks. Do not use any other type of rock or material in the heater. Rocks must be placed correctly to allow for proper air circulation.
- Water Application: Only pour small amounts of water over the hot rocks to create steam. Excessive water can damage the heater and create a scalding hazard. Never pour water over the control unit.
- Supervision: Children, individuals with health conditions, or those under the influence of alcohol or drugs should not use the sauna unsupervised.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation in the sauna room as specified by sauna construction guidelines.
- Maintenance: Disconnect power to the heater before performing any maintenance or servicing.
3. Setup and Installation

3.1. Components Overview

3.2. Heater Placement

3.3. Rock Placement
Carefully place the Vulcanite rocks into the heater's rock compartment. Ensure rocks are stacked loosely to allow for proper air circulation through the heating elements. Do not pack rocks tightly. The heating elements must be completely covered by rocks.
3.4. Contactor Box Installation
The Contactor Box (9202-133) should be mounted outside the sauna room in a dry, accessible location. Follow the wiring diagrams provided with the Contactor Box for connecting it to the main power supply (208V/3Phase) and to the Pro 105 heater.
3.5. H3 Control Installation
Mount the H3 Control (9201-041) inside or outside the sauna room, depending on your preference and local codes. Connect the control unit to the Contactor Box using the specified low-voltage wiring. Ensure all connections are secure.

4. Operating Instructions
The H3 Control simplifies the operation of your Amerec sauna heater.
4.1. Powering On/Off
- Press the Power button (⏻) on the H3 Control to turn the heater on. The display will illuminate.
- Press the Power button again to turn the heater off.
4.2. Setting the Timer
The H3 Control features a 60-minute timer. This timer controls the duration of the heating cycle.
- Press the Timer button (⏱) to activate the timer function.
- Use the Plus (+) and Minus (-) buttons to adjust the desired heating duration, up to 60 minutes.
- The heater will operate for the set duration and then automatically shut off.
4.3. Adjusting Temperature
- Press the Temperature button (🌡) to enter temperature adjustment mode.
- Use the Plus (+) and Minus (-) buttons to set your desired sauna temperature.

4.5. Creating Steam (Löyly)
Once the heater has reached operating temperature, you may carefully ladle small amounts of water onto the hot rocks to create steam. Do not pour excessive water, as this can cool the elements and damage the heater. Use only clean water.

5.1. Heater Cleaning
- Always disconnect power to the heater before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the heater with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Periodically remove any debris or dust from the rock compartment.
5.2. Rock Inspection and Replacement
- Inspect the sauna rocks annually. Over time, rocks can disintegrate due to heating and cooling cycles.
- Replace any cracked, crumbling, or discolored rocks. Ensure the heating elements are always fully covered by healthy rocks.
- Rearrange rocks periodically to maintain good air circulation.
