1. Introduction

The ZMX MCHOSE ACE68 Air is a 65% wired mechanical gaming keyboard featuring Hall-effect magnetic switches. It is designed for high-performance gaming with adjustable actuation, rapid trigger functionality, and an 8K Hz polling rate. This manual provides instructions for setup, operation, customization, and maintenance of your keyboard.

3. Setup

To set up your ZMX MCHOSE ACE68 Air keyboard:

1. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to an available USB port on your computer or gaming console.
3. The keyboard will automatically be recognized by your operating system. No additional drivers are typically required for basic functionality.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Key Functions

The ACE68 Air is a 65% layout keyboard. Standard alphanumeric keys function as labeled. Function keys (F1-F12) and other special keys are typically accessed via the FN key in combination with other keys. Refer to the keyboard's keycap legends for specific FN key combinations.

4.2 RGB Lighting Control

The keyboard features 16 million colors of north-facing LEDs and a top lightbox. The lightbox supports musical beats. You can adjust RGB lighting effects using FN shortcuts or the dedicated software (Web+HUB driver).

The keyboard offers various lighting modes, including Wave, Neon, Breathing, and Always On modes, which can be cycled through using specific FN key combinations.

5. Customization

5.1 Adjustable Actuation and Rapid Trigger

The ACE68 Air features Hall-effect magnetic switches with an ultra-precise 0.01 mm adjustment range. The adjustable trigger point can be set from 0.01-3.4 mm, allowing dynamic calibration of key travel. This enables features like Rapid Trigger (RT), SOCD (Snap Tap), and MT/TGL/RS functions, which eliminate limitations of traditional macros and provide precise control for gaming.

The keyboard boasts a 128K ultra-high scan rate and a low latency of 0.1ms, combined with an 8000 Hz polling rate for improved accuracy and minimal input delay.

5.2 Web+HUB Driver

The MCHOSE Ace68 Air supports the Web+HUB driver for extensive customization. This web-based tool allows you to adjust RT settings, create key combinations, set up macros, and reassign keys without needing to download or install software. It is compatible with all operating systems.

6. Magnetic Switches

The keyboard is equipped with Kailh magnetic switches, known for their high performance and durability. These switches offer a smooth and consistent typing experience with a total travel distance of 3.5mm and an initial trigger force of 35±5gf. They are designed for a long service life.

The keyboard's internal structure includes a five-layer HiFi filling for an enhanced tactile experience, comprising original PBT keycaps, magnetic switches, an aluminum alloy positioning board, sandwich silicone, under-shaft pad, PCB board, base cotton, silicone base cushion, and a bottom shell.

7. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your keyboard.

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the keyboard surface. For deeper cleaning, use a can of compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps.
• Keycap and Switch Removal: The keyboard features hot-swappable magnetic switches. Use the provided keycap puller to carefully remove keycaps. To remove a switch, gently pull it straight up using a switch puller (not included, but compatible with hot-swappable designs). When reinserting, ensure the switch pins align correctly with the sockets to avoid damage.
• Storage: Store the keyboard in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your keyboard, refer to the following common solutions:

• Keyboard Not Responding:
  • Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and your computer.
  • Try connecting the keyboard to a different USB port on your computer.
  • Test the keyboard on another computer to rule out a system-specific issue.
• RGB Lighting Not Working/Incorrect:
  • Check FN key combinations for lighting control.
  • Access the Web+HUB driver to verify lighting settings and apply desired effects.
• Keys Not Registering:
  • If specific keys are not working, carefully remove the keycap and switch (if hot-swappable) to check for debris or bent pins. Reinsert the switch correctly.
  • Ensure the keyboard's firmware is up to date via the Web+HUB driver.
