1. Overview

The ZMX MCHOSE ACE68 Air is a 65% wired mechanical gaming keyboard featuring Hall-effect magnetic switches. It is designed for high-performance gaming with adjustable actuation, rapid trigger functionality, and customizable RGB lighting. This manual provides instructions for setup, operation, and maintenance of your keyboard.

3. Setup

3.1 Connecting the Keyboard

1. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the USB-C port on the keyboard.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to an available USB port on your computer or gaming console.
3. The keyboard will automatically be recognized by your operating system.

3.2 Initial Power On

Upon successful connection, the keyboard's RGB lighting will illuminate, indicating it is powered on and ready for use.

4.1 Magnetic Switches and Adjustable Actuation

The ACE68 Air features Kailh Hall-effect magnetic switches, allowing for precise control over actuation points. The actuation point is adjustable from 0.01mm to 3.4mm.

4.2 Rapid Trigger (RT) Function

Rapid Trigger (RT) allows keys to instantly activate and deactivate based on movement, eliminating fixed actuation points. This feature is crucial for competitive gaming, enabling faster repeated inputs.

The keyboard supports RT, SOCD (Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Directions), and MT/TGL/RS functions. These functions can be configured via the Web+HUB driver.

4.3 RGB Lighting and Musical Rhythm

The keyboard features 16 million colors of north-facing LEDs and a top lightbox that supports musical beats. Use FN shortcuts or the Web+HUB driver to customize lighting effects.

4.4 Web+HUB Driver for Customization

The MCHOSE Ace68 Air supports the Web+HUB driver for extensive customization. This web-based driver allows you to adjust RT settings, create key combinations, set macros, and reassign keys without needing to download and install software. It is compatible with all operating systems.

4.5 Key Customization and Macros

The keyboard allows for advanced key customization, including DKS (Dynamic Key Stroke), SOCD, TGL (Toggle), RS (Rapid Stop), and Key Macro functions. These features enable binding multiple operations to a single key or creating complex command sequences.

4.6 Ergonomic Design

The keyboard features an ergonomic design with an esports-grade footrest and a two-stage design for adjustable typing angles, enhancing comfort during extended use.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Keyboard

• Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
• Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe the keycaps and chassis.
• For dust and debris between keys, use compressed air.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the keyboard's finish or keycap legends.

The ACE68 Air features hot-swappable magnetic switches. Use the provided keycap puller and switch puller (if included) to carefully remove and replace keycaps or switches. Ensure proper alignment when inserting new switches to avoid bending pins.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Keyboard Not Responding

• Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer.
• Try connecting the keyboard to a different USB port on your computer.
• Test the keyboard on another computer to rule out system-specific issues.
• Restart your computer.

6.2 RGB Lighting Not Working or Incorrect

• Check if the lighting is turned off via FN shortcuts. Refer to the quick start guide for specific key combinations.
• Ensure the Web+HUB driver settings are correctly configured for your desired lighting effects.
• Update your computer's USB drivers.

6.3 Keys Not Registering or Double-Typing

• This can sometimes be resolved by recalibrating the magnetic switches via the Web+HUB driver.
• Ensure no debris is lodged under the keycap or switch.
• If a specific switch is faulty, it can be replaced as the keyboard is hot-swappable.
