2. Platter and Belt Installation

  1. Place the die-cast aluminum platter onto the turntable spindle.

  3. Place the slip mat on top of the platter.

3. Tonearm and Cartridge Setup

The AT3600L Moving Magnetic Cartridge is pre-installed. You will need to balance the tonearm and set the tracking force.

  1. Balance the Tonearm: Gently release the tonearm from its rest. Rotate the counterweight at the rear of the tonearm until the tonearm floats horizontally, parallel to the platter, without touching the surface.
  2. Set Tracking Force: Once balanced, hold the counterweight steady and rotate the numbered ring on the counterweight to '0'. Then, rotate the entire counterweight (including the numbered ring) counter-clockwise until the desired tracking force is reached. Refer to the cartridge specifications for the recommended tracking force (typically 2.5-3.5 grams for the AT3600L).
  3. Adjust Anti-Skate: Set the anti-skate dial to match the tracking force you set. This helps prevent the stylus from skipping inwards.

4. Audio Connections

The turntable offers both Phono and Line output options, as well as a ground wire connection.

  • Phono/Line Switch: On the rear panel, select "PHONO" if connecting to an amplifier with a dedicated phono input. Select "LINE" if connecting to an amplifier or active speakers with a standard auxiliary input.
  • RCA Audio Output: Use the included RCA cables to connect the turntable's "AUDIO OUT" jacks (Red for Right, White for Left) to your amplifier or active speakers.
  • Ground Wire: Connect the ground wire from the turntable to the ground terminal on your amplifier (if available) to reduce hum.

5. Power Connection

Connect the DC12V 0.2A power cord to the turntable's power input and then plug it into a wall outlet.

6. Dust Cover

Attach the detachable dust cover to the hinges on the back of the turntable. This protects the platter and tonearm from dust when not in use.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off and Speed Selection

The turntable features a speed selector knob. Rotate this knob to select 33 1/3 RPM for LPs or 45 RPM for singles. Turning the knob to the "OFF" position powers down the unit.

2. Playing a Record

  1. Place a record on the platter, ensuring it is centered. Use the 45 RPM adapter for records with larger center holes.
  2. Select the correct speed (33 1/3 or 45 RPM).
  3. Lift the tonearm from its rest using the cueing lever.
  4. Position the tonearm over the desired starting groove of the record.
  5. Gently lower the tonearm using the cueing lever. The stylus will descend onto the record and playback will begin.
  6. To stop playback, lift the tonearm using the cueing lever and return it to its rest.

3. Pitch Control

The pitch control knob allows for slight adjustments to the playback speed. Rotate the knob to increase or decrease the speed as desired.

4. Bluetooth Output

The turntable can transmit audio wirelessly to Bluetooth-enabled speakers or headphones.

  1. Ensure your Bluetooth receiving device (speaker, headphones) is in pairing mode.
  2. Press the "BT Out" button on the rear panel of the turntable. The Bluetooth indicator light will flash, indicating it is searching for a device.
  3. Once connected, the indicator light will remain solid. Audio will now play through your Bluetooth device.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Stylus

Regularly clean the stylus using a soft brush designed for stylus cleaning. Brush gently from back to front to remove dust and debris. A dirty stylus can degrade sound quality and damage records.

2. Cleaning the Turntable Unit

Wipe the turntable's surface and dust cover with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.

3. Record Care

Keep your vinyl records clean and free of dust. Store them vertically in their sleeves to prevent warping. Handle records by their edges to avoid transferring oils from your skin to the playing surface.
