1. Introduction

Welcome to your new YOOPAI 3D Printer Filament Storage Box. This manual provides detailed instructions for assembly, proper usage, and maintenance to ensure your 3D printer filaments are stored in optimal conditions. This product is designed to protect your filaments from dust and splashes, and to help manage humidity with included desiccants, thereby improving the quality of your 3D prints. Please note, this is a storage box and not a filament drying box.

The YOOPAI Filament Storage Box is a two-tier metal rack with a transparent cover, designed to hold up to 10 standard 1kg spools of filament. It helps keep your workspace organized and your filaments protected.

2. Package Contents

Please verify that all components are present before beginning assembly:

3. Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble your filament storage box. Assembly typically takes about 10 minutes.

1. Unpack all components and lay them out on a clean, flat surface.
2. Assemble the metal frame by connecting the tubes with the provided connectors. Ensure all connections are secure.
3. Once the frame is assembled, carefully place the transparent cover over the frame.
4. Zip up the cover. Note: The cover is designed to fit snugly. If installation is difficult, double-check that all frame connectors are fully seated.

Important: Ensure that the connectors and tubes are securely connected. Otherwise, installing the protective cover may prove difficult.

4. Usage Guidelines

4.1. Storing Filaments

This 2-tier rack can hold up to 10 standard 1kg spools (5 per tier), suitable for PLA, ABS, TPU, PETG, and other filament types.

The transparent cover allows for easy identification and quick selection of your desired filament.

4.2. Humidity Control with Desiccants

The storage box includes 4 desiccant packs to help absorb moisture and maintain a low humidity environment, which is crucial for preserving filament quality.

For optimal results, it is recommended to monitor the humidity inside the box using a hygrometer (not included). Aim for humidity levels below 40%, and even lower for more moisture-sensitive filaments.

Desiccants absorb moisture from the air. When they become saturated, their color may change (if using color-changing desiccants). Saturated desiccants can be recharged by heating them in an oven according to their specific instructions.

If you have additional desiccant packs, store them in airtight containers when not in use to maintain their effectiveness.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning

Wipe the transparent cover with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust or spills. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the material.

5.2. Desiccant Regeneration

Regularly check the condition of your desiccant packs. If they indicate saturation (e.g., color change), follow the manufacturer's instructions to regenerate them (typically by baking in a low-temperature oven).

6. Troubleshooting

6.1. Difficulty Installing Cover

Ensure all metal frame tubes are fully inserted into their connectors. The cover is designed for a snug fit to maximize protection.

6.2. High Humidity Inside Box

Verify that the zipper is fully closed. While the cover provides significant protection, it is not perfectly airtight, and a small gap may exist at the zipper closure. Ensure desiccant packs are fresh or recently regenerated. Consider adding more desiccant packs if humidity remains high, especially in very humid environments.
