1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and effective use of your CIUZL C94 Dog Training Collar. Please read this manual thoroughly before operation to ensure proper usage and the well-being of your pet.

2. Important Safety Information

  • Not for Aggressive Dogs: Do not use this product on aggressive dogs. If your dog exhibits aggressive behavior, consult a professional dog trainer or veterinarian.
  • Age and Weight Suitability: This collar is suitable for dogs weighing 10-120 pounds with a neck circumference of 6-26 inches. Ensure your dog meets these criteria.
  • Collar Fit: The collar must fit snugly but not too tightly. You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the collar and your dog's neck. A loose fit can cause inconsistent stimulation and skin irritation.
  • Duration of Wear: Do not leave the collar on your dog for more than 12 consecutive hours. Prolonged wear can lead to skin irritation or pressure sores.
  • Skin Checks: Regularly inspect your dog's neck for any signs of skin irritation, redness, or sores. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a veterinarian.
  • Supervised Use: Always supervise your dog during training sessions. This collar is a training aid, not a substitute for direct supervision.
  • Avoid Over-Correction: Use stimulation modes judiciously. Over-correction can cause stress or fear in your dog.
  • Water Safety: The receiver is IPX7 waterproof, but the remote control is only splash-proof. Keep the remote away from water.

5. Setup Guide

5.1 Charging the Devices

  1. Connect the charging cable to the charging ports on both the remote control and the receiver.
  2. Plug the USB end of the cable into a power adapter, computer, or power bank.
  3. For the first charge, allow 4 hours for both devices to fully charge. Subsequent charges typically take 2 hours. The battery indicator on the remote and receiver will show charging status.

5.2 Attaching and Fitting the Collar

  1. Thread the nylon strap through the receiver unit.
  2. Select the appropriate metal probes (short for short-haired dogs, long for long/dense-haired dogs) and screw them firmly onto the receiver.
  3. Place the conductive silicone covers over the metal probes for added comfort and to prevent direct metal-to-skin contact.
  4. Place the collar around your dog's neck, ensuring the receiver is positioned centrally under the chin or on the side of the neck.
  5. Adjust the strap so it is snug but not tight. You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the collar and your dog's neck. A proper fit ensures consistent contact of the probes with the skin.

5.3 Testing the Static Stimulation (Safety Shock)

  1. Turn on both the remote and the receiver.
  2. Place the test bulb tool over the two metal probes on the receiver.
  3. Press the static stimulation button on the remote control. The test bulb should light up, indicating the static function is working.
  4. Do not test the static stimulation on yourself or another person.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

  • Remote: Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn on/off.
  • Receiver: Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn on/off.

6.2 Mode Selection

The remote control features dedicated buttons for each training mode:

  • Vibration Mode: Press the 'Vibration' button to activate vibration on the receiver. Levels 1-16.
  • Safety Shock Mode: Press the 'Shock' button to deliver static stimulation. Levels 1-16. Use this mode cautiously and only after your dog understands the beep and vibration commands.

6.3 Adjusting Intensity Levels

Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the remote control to adjust the intensity level for Vibration and Safety Shock modes. Beep mode has fixed levels.

6.4 Using Light Modes

The receiver has built-in lights for visibility:

  • Press the light button once for a constant white light.
  • Press the light button twice for a flashing light.

7. Training Guidelines

  • Start with Low Levels: Always begin with the lowest effective level for vibration and static stimulation. Observe your dog's reaction and increase only if necessary.
  • Consistency is Key: Use the collar consistently with clear, concise commands.
  • Positive Reinforcement: Always pair corrections with positive reinforcement (praise, treats) when your dog performs the desired behavior.
  • Short Sessions: Keep training sessions short (10-15 minutes) and positive to maintain your dog's engagement.
  • Avoid Punishment: The collar is a training aid, not a punishment tool. Use it to interrupt unwanted behaviors and guide your dog towards correct actions.
  • Familiarize Your Dog: Allow your dog to wear the collar for a few days without activation to get accustomed to it.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the receiver and probes with a damp cloth. Ensure the probes are free of dirt, debris, or hair that could interfere with contact.
  • Battery Care: Charge the devices regularly, even if not in frequent use, to maintain battery health. Avoid fully depleting the battery for extended periods.
  • Storage: Store the collar and remote in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Probe Inspection: Periodically check the probes and silicone covers for wear and tear. Replace if damaged.

9. Troubleshooting

  • Collar not responding: Ensure both the remote and receiver are turned on and fully charged. Check if they are paired correctly (refer to pairing instructions if available, typically automatic or simple button press).
  • No static stimulation: Verify the probes are making good contact with the dog's skin. Ensure the intensity level is not set to 0. Use the test bulb tool to confirm functionality.
  • Shortened range: Check for environmental interference (e.g., large metal objects, thick walls). Ensure the remote's battery is not low.
  • Skin irritation: Remove the collar immediately. Clean the area and consult a veterinarian. Ensure the collar is not worn for too long and is fitted correctly. Consider using the silicone covers if not already in use.
  • Battery not charging: Check the charging cable and adapter for damage. Ensure connections are secure. Try a different charging port or power source.
