5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Keyboard
To maintain the keyboard's appearance and functionality, regularly clean it. Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. For cleaning between keys, compressed air can be used.
5.2 Using the Silicone Keyboard Skin
The included silicone keyboard skin provides protection against spills, dust, and debris. It is washable and reusable. To clean the skin, gently wash it with mild soap and water, then allow it to air dry completely before placing it back on the keyboard.

5.3 Storage
When not in use for extended periods, store the keyboard in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the keyboard is turned off to conserve battery life.
6. Troubleshooting
- Keyboard not responding: Ensure the keyboard is charged. Check the mode switch (2.4G, BT, Cable) is set correctly. For wireless connections, verify the receiver is properly inserted or Bluetooth is paired. Try restarting the keyboard and the connected device.
- Connection drops frequently: Ensure the keyboard is within range of the receiver or Bluetooth device. Avoid interference from other wireless devices. For 2.4GHz, try plugging the receiver into a different USB port.
- Keys are not registering or are sticky: Clean the keycaps and the area around the switches. If using the silicone skin, ensure it is properly seated and not interfering with key travel. If the issue persists, a firmware update via Keychron Launcher may resolve it.
- Incorrect key output (e.g., Mac keys on Windows): Verify the 'Mac/Win' switch on the side of the keyboard is set to the correct operating system.
- Keychron Launcher not detecting keyboard: Ensure the keyboard is connected via USB Type-C cable and the mode switch is set to 'Cable'. Refresh the Keychron Launcher page.
