1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient use of your SMEG Collezione Sparkling Water Maker. Please read these instructions carefully before first use and retain them for future reference. The SMEG Sparkling Water Maker allows you to transform plain tap water into sparkling water with adjustable carbonation levels, without the need for electricity or batteries.

2. Safety Information

  • Use only potable water for carbonation. Do not carbonate any liquid other than water.
  • Ensure the carbonating bottle is securely attached before operating the machine.
  • Do not remove the carbonating bottle during carbonation.
  • Keep the appliance away from direct heat sources and out of reach of children.
  • Only use SMEG-approved carbonating bottles and standard 60L CO₂ cylinders.
  • Do not place the carbonating bottle in a dishwasher or expose it to extreme temperatures.
  • If the appliance is damaged, do not attempt to repair it yourself. Contact customer support.

Note: The CO₂ cylinder is sold separately and is not included in the package.

4. Setup

4.1 Installing the CO₂ Cylinder

  1. Place the sparkling water maker on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Gently lay the unit on its side.
  3. Unscrew the protective cap from the CO₂ cylinder.
  4. Insert the CO₂ cylinder into the opening at the bottom of the unit. Screw it clockwise until it is firmly secured. Do not overtighten.
  5. Return the unit to an upright position.

4.2 Preparing the Carbonating Bottle

  1. Fill the 1L Tritan Renew bottle with cold potable water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
  2. Ensure the bottle is clean and free from any foreign objects.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Attaching the Carbonating Bottle

  1. Tilt the carbonating bottle slightly and insert it into the nozzle opening.
  2. Push the bottle upwards and then rotate it clockwise until it locks into place. The bottle should feel secure.

5.2 Carbonating the Water

  1. Once the bottle is securely attached, press the carbonation button located on the top of the unit.
  2. Press and hold the button for 1-2 seconds for light carbonation, 2-3 seconds for medium, or 3-4 seconds for strong carbonation. You will hear a buzzing sound as the water carbonates.
  3. Release the button when you achieve your desired level of fizziness.

5.3 Removing the Carbonating Bottle

  1. After carbonation, wait a few seconds for the excess pressure to release.
  2. Rotate the bottle counter-clockwise and gently pull it downwards to remove it from the unit.
  3. Cap the bottle immediately to retain carbonation.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Sparkling Water Maker Unit

  • Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Do not immerse the unit in water or use abrasive cleaners.
  • Clean the drip tray and grill regularly with mild soap and water.

6.2 Cleaning the Carbonating Bottle

  • Wash the carbonating bottle with lukewarm water and mild dish soap.
  • Use a bottle brush to clean the interior thoroughly.
  • Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry.
  • Do not wash the bottle in a dishwasher or use hot water above 40°C (104°F).

7. Troubleshooting
