4. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble and prepare your pressure washer for first use.

  1. Connect Water Inlet: Attach the water inlet connector with filter to the pressure washer's water inlet. Then, connect your garden hose to this connector. Ensure a secure, leak-free connection.
  2. Extend High-Pressure Hose: Unwind the high-pressure hose from the retractable reel. Connect one end to the pressure washer's high-pressure outlet and the other end to the high-pressure gun.
  3. Attach Lance: Connect the extension lance to the high-pressure gun, then attach the adjustable lance to the extension lance. Ensure all connections are firmly secured.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cable into a grounded 127V electrical outlet.

Before starting, ensure the water supply is turned on and there are no kinks in the hose.

5. Operation

Starting the Pressure Washer:

  1. Ensure all connections are secure and the water supply is on.
  2. Turn on the pressure washer by pressing the ON/OFF switch.
  3. Squeeze the trigger on the high-pressure gun to start the water flow. The motor will activate.

The TRENT HLT407 features an automatic shut-off system. When you release the trigger on the high-pressure gun, the motor will automatically stop. This conserves energy, reduces noise, and extends the lifespan of the motor. The motor will restart automatically when the trigger is squeezed again.

Using the Detergent Dispenser:

  1. Fill the integrated detergent bottle with an appropriate pressure washer detergent.
  2. Attach the detergent bottle to the high-pressure gun or designated port.
  3. Operate the pressure washer. The detergent will be mixed with the water stream at low pressure.
  4. After applying detergent, remove the bottle and rinse the system with clean water to prevent clogging.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pressure washer.

  • After Each Use: Flush the system with clean water to remove any detergent residue.
  • Clean Nozzles: Use the included cleaning pin to clear any blockages in the nozzle.
  • Inspect Hoses and Connections: Regularly check the high-pressure hose, garden hose, and all connections for wear, damage, or leaks. Replace damaged parts immediately.
  • Water Inlet Filter: Periodically clean the water inlet filter to prevent debris from entering the pump.
  • Storage: Store the pressure washer in a dry, frost-free environment. Drain all water from the unit and hoses before storing to prevent freezing damage.
