2. What's in the Box

3. Product Overview

The Pelsee S12 Pro is a 12-inch mirror dash cam featuring a 4K front camera and a 1080P rear camera. It integrates advanced technologies for enhanced driving safety and recording capabilities.

3.1 Key Components

• Main Mirror Unit: 12-inch touchscreen display with integrated 4K front camera.

• Ports: USB-C power input, rear camera input, GPS antenna input.

4. Installation

4.1 Mirror Unit Installation

1. Attach the main mirror unit over your existing rearview mirror using the provided rubber straps. Ensure it is securely fastened and does not obstruct your view.
2. Connect the 11.5ft car charger to the USB-C power input on the top of the mirror unit and plug the other end into your vehicle's 12V power outlet.
3. Connect the GPS antenna to its dedicated input on the mirror unit. Position the antenna on your dashboard or windshield for optimal signal reception.

4.2 Rear Camera Installation

1. Mount the 1080p rear camera at the rear of your vehicle, typically above the license plate or on the rear windshield. Use the provided 3M adhesive pads or screws for secure attachment.
2. Route the 19.6ft rear camera cable from the rear camera to the main mirror unit. Conceal the cable along the vehicle's headliner and A-pillar using the pry tool to tuck it neatly.
3. Connect the rear camera cable to the rear camera input on the mirror unit.
4. For automatic reverse view with parking guidelines, connect the red wire from the rear camera cable to your vehicle's reverse light power wire.

Note: The dash cam measures 11.81 inches (L) x 2.95 inches (H) x 0.59 inches (W). It may not fit rearview mirrors shorter than 6.3 inches, thicker than 5.91 inches, or with irregular shapes. For such cases, an optional OEM Bracket Mount (ASIN: B0D5D3HVBJ) is available for secure installation.

5. Setup and Initial Use

5.1 Power On and Basic Settings

1. Once connected, the dash cam will power on automatically with your vehicle's ignition.
2. The touchscreen interface allows for easy navigation. Tap the screen to access the main menu.
3. Navigate to 'System Settings' to adjust date/time, language, speed unit (MPH/KMH), and other preferences.
4. In 'Camera Settings', you can select video resolution (4K for front, 1080P for rear), video length, frequency, and rearview options.

5.2 Screen On/Off and Mirror Functionality

The screen can be set to automatically turn off after a set period (e.g., 1 minute) to function as a traditional rearview mirror. The mirror surface remains reflective even when the screen is off.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Recording

• The dash cam begins recording automatically when the vehicle starts.
• Footage is saved to the pre-installed 64GB memory card.
• Loop recording ensures continuous recording by overwriting the oldest files when the memory card is full. Important footage can be locked to prevent overwriting.

6.2 Video Quality and Night Vision

The front camera captures ultra-clear 4K@25fps footage, while the rear camera records in detailed 1080P@25fps. Equipped with a STARVIS 2 sensor and front HDR/rear WDR technology, the dash cam delivers superior image quality.

6.3 5.8GHz Wi-Fi and App Control

The dash cam features 5.8GHz Wi-Fi 6 for fast access to footage. Use the Pelsee App (available on App Store and Google Play) to view live feeds, download important videos, and adjust settings wirelessly.

6.4 Smart Voice Control

6.5 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)

6.7 Parking Monitor

6.8 GPS Tracking

7. Maintenance

• Regularly clean the camera lenses and mirror screen with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear recordings and optimal visibility.
• Periodically format the 64GB memory card through the dash cam's settings to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
• Ensure all cable connections are secure to prevent interruptions in power or recording.

8. Troubleshooting

• Dash cam not powering on: Check the car charger connection and ensure the vehicle's 12V outlet is functioning.
• Poor video quality: Clean the camera lenses. Ensure the correct video resolution (4K front, 1080P rear) is selected in settings.
• Wi-Fi connection issues: Ensure the Pelsee App is updated and your phone is within range of the dash cam's Wi-Fi signal.
• ADAS alerts not working: Verify ADAS features are enabled in settings and the camera is properly calibrated.
• Parking monitor not functioning: Confirm the optional hardwire kit is correctly installed and enabled in settings.
