4. Setup and Installation

This ceiling fan is designed for easy self-installation, typically taking around 15 minutes. Always ensure power is disconnected before starting.

4.1 Tools Required (Not Included)

  • Phillips Head Screwdriver

  • Ladder

4.2 Installation Steps

  1. Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker for the room where you are installing the fan and turn off the power. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
  2. Prepare Mounting Location: Remove any existing light fixture. Ensure the electrical junction box is securely mounted and rated for ceiling fan support.
  3. Install Mounting Bracket: Attach the fan's mounting bracket to the junction box using the screws provided in the hardware bag.
  4. Wiring Connections: Carefully connect the fan's electrical wires to the house wiring according to local electrical codes. Typically, this involves connecting live to live, neutral to neutral, and ground to ground. Secure connections with wire nuts.
  5. Mount the Fan: Lift the fan unit and secure it to the mounting bracket. Follow the specific instructions in your hardware bag for securing the fan housing.
  6. Install E26 Bulbs: Screw E26 base bulbs (not included) into the sockets. Do not overtighten.
  7. Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.

5. Operating Instructions

The LEDIARY ceiling fan is operated using the included remote control. Ensure the remote has working batteries.

5.1 Remote Control Functions

  • Light ON/OFF: Press the 'Light ON/OFF' button to turn the light on or off.
  • Fan ON/OFF: Press the 'Fan ON/OFF' button to turn the fan on or off.
  • Light & Fan All OFF: Press this button to turn off both the light and the fan simultaneously.
  • Fan Speed (1-6): Use the numbered buttons (1-6) to select the desired fan speed. 1 is the lowest speed, 6 is the highest.
  • Natural Wind Mode: Activates a varying fan speed to simulate natural breezes.
  • Reversible Motor (F/R): Press 'F' for forward (Summer Mode) or 'R' for reverse (Winter Mode).
  • Timer (1H, 2H, 4H): Set the fan to automatically turn off after 1, 2, or 4 hours.

5.2 Reversible Motor Function

The reversible DC motor allows for year-round comfort:

  • Summer Mode (Forward): The fan blades rotate counter-clockwise, pushing air downwards to create a cooling effect.
  • Winter Mode (Reverse): The fan blades rotate clockwise, drawing air upwards to circulate warm air trapped near the ceiling, helping to distribute heat more evenly.
