3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Unpacking and Initial Setup
- Carefully remove the printer and all accessories from the packaging.
- Connect the power adapter to the printer and plug it into a power outlet.
- Turn on the printer using the power switch.
3.2 Loading Labels
The printer features a built-in label bin. Open the top cover of the printer. Place your roll of direct thermal labels into the bin, ensuring the labels feed smoothly through the guide. Close the cover. The printer will automatically detect the label size.

3.3 Driver and Software Installation
Before printing, ensure the correct drivers are installed for your operating system.
- Windows/macOS/Linux (USB Connection):
Connect the printer to your computer via the provided USB cable. Drivers can typically be found on the included U-disk or downloaded from the official vretti support website. For macOS, if you encounter "The application can't be opened" during installation, go to "System Settings" > "Privacy & Security", scroll down, and click "Open Anyway".

- Chrome OS:
Obtain the Chrome OS extension from the included U-disk. Drag the extension file to the Chrome extensions page to install.

- Mobile Devices (iOS/Android - WiFi Connection):
Download the "EZLABEL" app from your device's app store. This app is required for wireless printing from mobile devices. Ensure your mobile device and printer are connected to the same 2.4GHz WiFi network.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Connecting to WiFi
To connect your printer to a WiFi network, follow the instructions provided in the EZLABEL app for mobile devices or the printer's software utility for desktop operating systems. Ensure your network is 2.4GHz, as 5GHz networks are not supported.
4.2 Printing Labels
Once drivers are installed and the printer is connected (via USB or WiFi), you can print labels from your preferred application (e.g., shipping software, word processor).
- Ensure the label size settings in your printing application match the physical labels loaded in the printer.
- The printer supports label widths from 0.78 inches (19mm) to 4.6 inches (116mm).
- The printer automatically detects label size for optimal printing.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Printer
Regular cleaning ensures optimal print quality and extends the life of your printer.
- Turn off and unplug the printer before cleaning.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol to gently wipe the print head and platen roller.
- Remove any dust or label residue from the label path and inside the label bin.
- Allow all components to dry completely before plugging in and turning on the printer.
5.2 Label Bin Maintenance
Ensure the label bin is free of debris and that labels are loaded correctly to prevent jams. The built-in label bin is designed for rolls with diameters less than 11cm (4 inches).
