5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your air conditioner. Always turn off the power supply to the unit before performing any maintenance.
5.1 Air Filter Cleaning
The 'CL' indicator on your unit will signal when the air filter requires cleaning. Dirty filters can reduce cooling efficiency and airflow.
- Open the front panel of the indoor unit.
- Carefully remove the air filters.
- Clean the filters using a vacuum cleaner or wash them gently with lukewarm water and a mild detergent.
- Rinse thoroughly and allow them to dry completely in a shaded area before reinserting.
- Close the front panel.
5.2 Coil Cleaning (Ice Wash)
Utilize the built-in Ice Wash feature periodically to automatically clean the evaporator coil. This helps prevent mold and bacteria buildup and maintains cooling efficiency. Refer to your remote control instructions for activating this specific function.
5.3 General Cleaning
Wipe the indoor unit's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the surface.
5.4 Seasonal Maintenance
Before the start of the cooling season, it is advisable to have a professional technician inspect the refrigerant levels, electrical connections, and overall system for optimal performance.
