4. Setup Guide

Follow these steps for initial setup of your usogood TC20 Trail Camera:

  1. Open the Camera: Locate the self-clip design on the side of the camera. Unclip it to open the camera and reveal the internal screen and controls.
  2. Install/Remove Memory Card: The 32GB TF card is pre-installed. To remove or re-insert, gently push the card into its slot until it clicks, then release to eject.
  3. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment. Insert the 4 included AA batteries, ensuring correct positive (+) and negative (-) polarity as indicated inside the compartment. Incorrect polarity will prevent the camera from powering on. The camera supports up to 8 AA batteries for extended use.
  4. Power On for Settings: Slide the power switch from 'OFF' to 'TEST'. The screen will light up, allowing you to access the camera settings.
  5. Format Memory Card: Navigate through the menu to find the 'Format Memory' option. Confirm to format the pre-installed memory card. This will delete all data on the card and prepare it for use.
  6. Adjust Language: The default device language is English. You can adjust the language setting according to your preference in the menu.
  7. Select Shooting Mode: In the mode settings, choose your desired shooting mode (e.g., Photo, Video, Photo+Video).
  8. Set Photo/Video Resolution: Adjust the photo pixel (e.g., 36MP) and video resolution (e.g., 2K) as needed.
  9. Exit Settings: Press the 'MENU' button to exit the settings interface.
  10. Activate Shooting Mode: Slide the power switch from 'TEST' to 'ON'. The camera screen will black out after a 10-second countdown, and the indicator light will turn off, signifying that the camera has entered its active shooting state.
  11. Attach Mounting Strap: Pass the end of the included strap through the two brackets located on the back of the camera. Secure the camera to a tree or desired location using the strap.

5. Operating the Camera

Once set up, the camera operates automatically based on its motion detection capabilities. When motion is detected within its 90-degree viewing angle, the camera will trigger and capture photos or videos according to your selected settings.

To view captured photos and videos, slide the power switch to 'TEST'. You can then navigate through the media using the control buttons on the internal screen. Alternatively, connect the camera to a computer using the provided USB cable or remove the TF card and insert it into a card reader.
