2. Setup and Assembly

Before your first dive, ensure all components are present and properly assembled according to the following steps.

2.1 Unpacking and Inspection

  • Carefully remove all items from the packaging.
  • Verify that all components listed in the product overview (Figure 1.2) are included and undamaged.
  • Report any missing or damaged parts to the manufacturer immediately.

2.2 Charging the Unit

The TUXING Diving Hookah System is powered by an internal lithium battery. Fully charge the unit before initial use and after each diving session.

  1. Locate the waterproof charging port (4 in Figure 1.2) on the main unit.
  2. Connect the provided charger to the charging port.
  3. Plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet.
  4. Monitor the battery display (3 in Figure 1.2) to confirm charging status. The unit is fully charged when the indicator shows full capacity.

Note: Charging time may vary. Avoid overcharging by disconnecting the charger once the battery is full.

2.3 Hose and Regulator Connection

  1. Uncoil the telescopic air hoses (6 in Figure 1.2).
  2. Attach one end of each hose to the air outlets on the main unit. Ensure a secure, airtight connection.
  3. Connect the other end of each hose to a second-stage regulator (9 in Figure 1.2). Hand-tighten connections only.
  4. Verify that the activated carbon filter (7 in Figure 1.2) is properly installed within the hose assembly or regulator connection point.

2.4 Pre-Dive Checks

  • Confirm the main unit is fully charged.
  • Inspect all hose connections for tightness and integrity.
  • Check the condition of the mouthpieces and ensure they are clean.
  • Ensure the anti-water float (1 in Figure 1.2) is securely attached and functional.
  • Perform a brief surface test by turning on the unit and checking for airflow from the regulators.

3. Operating Instructions

Follow these guidelines for safe and effective operation of your TUXING Diving Hookah System.

3.1 Powering On/Off

  • To power on the unit, locate the power switch (5 in Figure 1.2) and press it. The battery display will illuminate.
  • To power off, press the power switch again.

3.2 Deployment and Usage

  1. Place the main unit gently into the water. Ensure it floats upright with the anti-water float visible.
  2. For single-user operation, the system supports depths of 15-18 meters (50-60 feet).
  3. For dual-user operation, the recommended maximum depth is 5-7 meters (16-23 feet) to ensure adequate air supply for both divers.
  4. Always monitor the battery display during your dive. Plan your dive time to ensure sufficient battery life for a safe ascent and return.
  5. Maintain awareness of the hose length and avoid entanglement with underwater objects.

3.3 Safety Precautions

  • Never dive beyond your training and experience level.
  • Always dive with a buddy.
  • Regularly check the battery level.
  • Avoid rapid ascents. Always ascend slowly to prevent decompression sickness.
  • Do not use the system if any component appears damaged or is not functioning correctly.
  • Ensure the dive flag is deployed and visible to surface vessels.

4. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your diving system.

4.1 After Each Use

  • Rinse: Thoroughly rinse the main unit, hoses, and regulators with fresh water to remove salt, sand, and debris.
  • Dry: Allow all components to air dry completely in a shaded, well-ventilated area before storage. Do not expose to direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
  • Inspect: Visually inspect hoses, regulators, and seals for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage.

4.2 Filter Replacement

The system uses a double filtration system. Filters should be inspected regularly and replaced as needed, or after approximately 50 hours of use, whichever comes first.

  • Activated Carbon Filter: Replace the activated carbon filter (7 in Figure 1.2) to maintain air quality. Refer to the manufacturer's guidelines for specific replacement intervals.
  • Oil Water Separator Filters: Inspect and replace the internal oil water separator filters as per the maintenance schedule.

4.3 Battery Care and Storage

  • Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50-60% capacity. Avoid storing with a completely depleted or fully charged battery.
  • Recharge the battery every 3-6 months during long-term storage to prevent deep discharge.
