This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your MangoKit MS4 HiFi System. The MS4 is a versatile audio system featuring a CD player, FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity, USB playback, and AUX input, all housed in an acoustic wood cabinet with powerful stereo speakers. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper operation and to maximize your listening experience.

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the MS4 system and all accessories from the packaging. Retain the packaging for future transport or storage.
- Placement: Place the unit on a stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
- Antenna Connection: Extend the FM antenna fully for optimal radio reception. Adjust its position as needed.
- Power Connection: Connect the provided mains power adapter to the DC IN port on the rear of the MS4 system. Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet.
- Initial Power On: Press the POWER button on the unit or remote control to turn on the system. The display will illuminate.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off and Mode Selection
- To turn the unit ON or OFF, press the POWER button.
- To switch between modes (CD, FM, Bluetooth, USB, AUX), press the MODE button on the unit or remote control.
2. CD Player Operation
- Insert a CD into the CD slot with the label side facing up. The system will automatically detect the CD and begin playback.
- Use the PLAY/PAUSE, SKIP FORWARD, and SKIP BACKWARD buttons to control playback.
- Press the STOP button to stop playback.
3. FM Radio Operation
- Select FM mode using the MODE button.
- To auto-scan and save stations, press and hold the SCAN button. The system will search for available stations and store them as presets.
- To manually tune, use the TUNE +/- buttons.
- To recall a preset station, use the PRESET +/- buttons or the numeric buttons on the remote control. The system supports up to 40 preset stations.
4. Bluetooth Connectivity
- Select Bluetooth mode using the MODE button. The display will show "Pairing" or "Waiting for connection".
- On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices. Select "MangoKit MS4" from the list.
- Once paired, you can stream audio from your device to the MS4 system.
- To connect Bluetooth headphones, ensure the MS4 is in Bluetooth-out mode (refer to the manual's specific section for Bluetooth-out if available, as this feature is mentioned in product description).
5. USB Playback
- Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the USB port on the rear panel.
- Select USB mode using the MODE button.
- The system will automatically detect and begin playing audio files. Use the playback controls for navigation.
6. AUX Input
- Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the AUX IN port on the rear panel using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
- Select AUX mode using the MODE button.
- Audio from the connected device will now play through the MS4 speakers. Control playback from your external device.
7. Alarm and Sleep Timer
- Setting Alarms: Press the ALARM button to access alarm settings. Follow the on-screen prompts to set dual alarms, including time, source (FM or alarm sound), and frequency (weekday/weekend).
- Setting Sleep Timer: Press the SLEEP button to activate the sleep timer. Repeatedly press to cycle through available sleep durations (e.g., 15, 30, 60 minutes). The system will automatically turn off after the selected time.
8. Equalizer (EQ) Settings
- Access the Equalizer settings through the system menu (refer to the display for navigation).
- You can choose from preset EQ modes or customize your own settings.
- For enhanced sound, consider adjusting Bass and Treble levels. Some users find setting Bass to 100% and Treble to 90% with Loudness enabled provides a powerful sound.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- CD Care: Handle CDs by their edges. Clean CDs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards.
- Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation openings are not blocked to prevent overheating.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your MS4 system, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
