  • Power Button (): Press and hold to power on/off. Short press to switch between input modes (Bluetooth, AUX, TF Card, USB).

Setup

Charging the Speaker

  1. Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the USB-C port on the speaker.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.
  4. A full charge provides approximately 15 hours of playtime.

Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button () for approximately 2-3 seconds until you hear an audible prompt and the indicator light turns on.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button () for approximately 2-3 seconds until you hear an audible prompt and the indicator light turns off.

Operating Instructions

Bluetooth Pairing (Single Speaker)

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth pairing mode (indicated by a flashing blue LED). If not, short press the Power button () to cycle through modes until Bluetooth mode is active.
  2. On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth.
  3. Search for available Bluetooth devices. You should see "Monster S290" in the list.
  4. Select "Monster S290" to connect. Once connected, the indicator light will turn solid blue, and you will hear a confirmation sound.
  5. The speaker will automatically attempt to reconnect to the last paired device when powered on.

TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Pairing

TWS pairing allows you to connect two Monster S290 speakers together for a stereo sound experience.

  1. Ensure both Monster S290 speakers are powered on and not connected to any Bluetooth device.
  2. On one of the speakers (this will be the primary speaker), press and hold the Play/Pause button () for 2-3 seconds. You will hear a prompt indicating TWS pairing mode.
  3. The two speakers will automatically search for and connect to each other. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation sound, and the primary speaker's indicator light will flash, while the secondary speaker's light will be solid.
  4. Now, connect your mobile device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in the "Bluetooth Pairing" section.
  5. Audio will now play in stereo through both speakers.

AUX-IN Mode

  1. Connect one end of the 3.5mm AUX-IN cable to the AUX-IN port on the speaker.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to the audio output jack of your device.
  3. Short press the Power button () to switch to AUX mode. The speaker will announce "AUX mode".
  4. Control playback and volume from your connected device.

TF Card Playback Mode

  1. Insert a TF (MicroSD) card with audio files into the TF card slot.
  2. Short press the Power button () to switch to TF Card mode. The speaker will announce "TF card mode" and begin playing audio.
  3. Use the speaker's control buttons for playback (Play/Pause, Next/Previous Song, Volume Up/Down).

USB Playback Mode

  1. Insert a USB flash drive with audio files into the USB port.
  2. Short press the Power button () to switch to USB mode. The speaker will announce "USB mode" and begin playing audio.
  3. Use the speaker's control buttons for playback (Play/Pause, Next/Previous Song, Volume Up/Down).

Maintenance

Water Resistance (IPX6)

The Monster S290 speaker features an IPX6 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against high-pressure water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for outdoor use and resistant to splashes, rain, and sweat.

  • Ensure the rubber flap covering the charging and input ports is securely closed to maintain water resistance.
