1. Introduction and Overview

This manual provides instructions for the PULIVIA YS-805C Digital Stopwatch Timer. 3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The PULIVIA YS-805C stopwatch requires one AAA battery (included). To install or replace the battery:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the stopwatch.
  2. Carefully open the battery cover.
  3. Insert one AAA battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery cover securely.

3.2 Initial Power On

To turn the device ON or OFF, long press the MODE ON/OFF button (Button A) for 3 or more seconds. A short press of this button switches between stopwatch and countdown modes.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Stopwatch Mode

In stopwatch mode, the device measures elapsed time. The display shows minutes, seconds, and hundredths of a second.

  • Start Timing: Press the START STOP button (Button B) to begin timing.
  • Pause/Resume: Press the START STOP button (Button B) again to pause the timer. Press it once more to resume.
  • Split Timing: While the stopwatch is running, press the SPLIT RESET button (Button C) to record a split time. The display will momentarily show the split time while the main timer continues to run in the background. Press Button C again to return to the running total time.
  • Reset: To reset the stopwatch to zero, ensure the timer is stopped (paused), then press the SPLIT RESET button (Button C).

4.2 Countdown Mode

The countdown mode allows you to set a specific time and count down to zero.

  1. Switch to Countdown Mode: Short press the MODE ON/OFF button (Button A) until 'COUNTDOWN' or a similar indicator appears on the display.
  2. Set Countdown Time: While in countdown mode, long press the SPLIT RESET button (Button C) to enter time setting mode. Use the START STOP button (Button B) to adjust the values (hours, minutes, seconds) and the MODE ON/OFF button (Button A) to move between digits. Press SPLIT RESET (Button C) again to confirm and exit setting mode.
  3. Start Countdown: Press the START STOP button (Button B) to begin the countdown.
  4. Pause/Resume: Press the START STOP button (Button B) again to pause the countdown. Press it once more to resume.
  5. Reset: To reset the countdown to the set time, ensure the timer is stopped (paused), then press the SPLIT RESET button (Button C).

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the stopwatch with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: If the display becomes dim or the device is not functioning correctly, replace the AAA battery. Remove the battery if the stopwatch will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
  • Water Resistance: The stopwatch is designed with water resistance for general use, but it is not intended for submersion. Avoid prolonged exposure to water.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Device does not turn on: Check if the AAA battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. Replace the battery if necessary.
  • Display is dim or blank: This usually indicates a low battery. Replace the AAA battery.
  • Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the device is not in a locked state (though this model is designed for simple operation without complex locks). If the issue persists after battery replacement, contact customer support.
