4. Installation Guide

The GEKRONE T190 lock is designed for straightforward installation, typically completed within 15 minutes without complex wiring. Ensure your door thickness is between 1-3/8 inches (35mm) to 2-1/8 inches (54mm) and the adjustable lock buckle is set correctly (2-3/8 inches (60mm) to 2-1/8 inches (70mm)).

Installation Steps:

1. Prepare the Lock Body: Adjust the lock tongue door thickness. If your door thickness is 60mm, no adjustment is needed. If it is 70mm, rotate the lock body to 70mm.
2. Install the Lock Cylinder: Insert the lock cylinder into the door edge and tighten its fixing screws.
3. Prepare Front Lock: Install the front lock screw tube and tighten with pliers.
4. Thread Cables: Thread the square rod and power cord through the middle hole of the locking tongue. Ensure the square rod is correctly inserted and locked into the front lock hole.
5. Install Rear Lock: Install the rear lock, threading the power cord from the front lock into the rear lock hole. Align the square rod and fasten it.
6. Secure Rear Lock: Tighten the rear lock fixing screws.
7. Connect Power: Connect the power cord of the front and rear locks.
8. Insert Batteries: Insert 4 AAA alkaline batteries into the rear lock assembly. Arrange the power cord neatly and cover the back cover.
9. Final Secure: Tighten the screws that secure the back cover.

5. Operating Instructions

The GEKRONE T190 offers multiple ways to unlock and manage access.

Unlocking Methods:

• Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the sensor for quick access. The advanced semiconductor biometric recognition technology allows for unlocking in 0.3 seconds.
• Digital Password: Enter your digital password on the touchscreen keypad. The anti-peeping function allows you to enter random numbers before and after your actual password to prevent it from being leaked.
• IC Card: Tap the provided IC card on the designated area of the lock.
• Mechanical Key: Use the physical key for traditional unlocking, especially useful in emergencies or if batteries are depleted.

• Lock Malfunctions or Unstable Voltage:
  • Crucial: Verify that you are using alkaline dry batteries (LR3/LR03). Carbon batteries can cause unstable internal voltage and lead to malfunctions. Replace immediately if incorrect batteries are used.
• Difficulty Entering Passcode:
  • After setting a passcode via the TUYA APP, the correct format for entry on the lock's keypad is: # + passcode + #.
  • Ensure the keypad is clean and free from debris.
• Lock Not Responding (No Power):
  • Check battery levels and replace if low.
  • If batteries are completely dead, use a USB power bank to connect to the emergency USB port for temporary power to unlock the door.
