5. Setup

5.1 Mounting the Pump

The pump should be mounted in a dry, well-ventilated area, protected from direct weather exposure. Utilize the rubber mounting base to reduce vibration and noise. Secure the pump using appropriate fasteners through the mounting holes.

5.2 Electrical Connection

  • Connect the pump's red wire to the positive (+) terminal of a 12V DC power source (e.g., battery).
  • Connect the pump's black wire to the negative (-) terminal of the 12V DC power source.
  • It is recommended to install an appropriate fuse (not included) in the positive line for circuit protection.
  • Ensure all electrical connections are secure and insulated.

5.3 Plumbing Connections

  1. Inlet Connection: Attach the 50 Mesh Strainer to the pump's inlet port (typically marked "IN" or with an arrow pointing towards the pump). Connect your water supply hose from the water source to the strainer. Ensure all connections are watertight using the provided quick-install connectors and stainless steel clamps.
  2. Outlet Connection: Connect the 20FT Coiled Hose to the pump's outlet port (typically marked "OUT" or with an arrow pointing away from the pump). Secure with a stainless steel clamp.
  3. Spray Gun Connection: Attach the Cleaning Spray Gun to the free end of the 20FT Coiled Hose.

5.4 Priming the Pump

For optimal performance, ensure the pump is primed before first use:

  • Ensure the water source is open and available to the pump inlet.
  • Open the spray gun nozzle to allow air to escape.
  • Turn on the pump. It may run for a few seconds to draw water and expel air. Once water flows steadily from the nozzle, the pump is primed.
  • Close the spray gun nozzle. The pump will build pressure and then shut off automatically due to the pressure switch.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

Once properly installed and primed, connect the pump to its 12V DC power source. The pump is ready for operation.

6.2 Automatic Pressure Control

  • The pump features an automatic pressure switch. When the spray gun nozzle is opened, the pressure drops, and the pump automatically activates to maintain water flow.
  • When the spray gun nozzle is closed, the pressure builds up to 80 PSI, and the pump automatically shuts off. This mechanism conserves energy and minimizes pump wear.

6.3 Using the Spray Gun

The included spray gun allows for adjustable spray patterns. Rotate the nozzle head to change from a fine stream to a wide fan spray, suitable for various cleaning tasks. The effective range of the spray nozzle is approximately 32.81 feet.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning the Strainer

Regularly inspect and clean the 50 Mesh Strainer to prevent debris from entering the pump, which can reduce performance and cause damage. Disconnect power, unscrew the strainer housing, remove the mesh filter, rinse it thoroughly, and reassemble.

7.2 Checking Connections

Periodically check all hose and electrical connections for tightness and signs of wear or corrosion. Replace any damaged components immediately.

7.3 Winterization (for cold climates)

In freezing temperatures, drain all water from the pump and hoses to prevent damage from ice expansion. Disconnect inlet and outlet hoses, run the pump briefly (no more than 10 seconds) to expel remaining water, or use an RV/marine antifreeze solution according to product instructions.

8. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Pump does not runNo power, loose electrical connection, blown fuse, faulty switch.Check 12V DC power supply, ensure connections are secure, check/replace fuse, test power switch.
Pump runs but no water flowPump not primed, clogged inlet strainer, air leak in suction line, water source empty.Re-prime the pump, clean the inlet strainer, check all inlet connections for leaks, ensure water source is available.
Low pressure or intermittent flowClogged strainer, air in system, kinked hose, worn pump head.Clean strainer, check for air leaks, straighten hoses, inspect pump head for wear.
Pump cycles on and off rapidlySmall leak in discharge line, restricted flow, faulty pressure switch.Check for leaks in hoses/fittings, ensure spray gun is fully open when in use, contact support if pressure switch is suspected.
Excessive noise or vibrationLoose mounting, air in system, debris in pump.Ensure pump is securely mounted, check for air leaks, inspect for debris in pump (disconnect power first).
