3. Setup and Assembly
Your Freego X2Pro Electric Motorcycle requires some assembly before its first use. Follow these steps carefully.
Unpacking and Initial Inspection
- Carefully remove all packaging materials.
- Inspect the motorcycle for any visible damage that may have occurred during shipping. Report any damage to the seller immediately.
- Verify all included components are present: Electric Dirt Bike, X2 Pro Electric Motorcycle, E Bike Accessory Kit, Charger, Tool Kit.
Assembly Steps
- Handlebar Installation: Attach the handlebar to the stem using the provided bolts and tool kit. Ensure it is centered and tightened securely.
- Pedal Attachment: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread them into the crank arms. Note that the left pedal is reverse-threaded. Tighten firmly.
- Front Wheel Installation (if applicable): If the front wheel is separate, align it with the front fork and secure it using the quick-release skewer or axle nuts. Ensure the brake rotor is correctly seated within the caliper.
- Seat Adjustment: Adjust the seat height for a comfortable riding position, ensuring your feet can touch the ground when stopped. Tighten the seat post clamp.
Initial Battery Charging
Before your first ride, fully charge the battery. The fan-cooled charger helps maintain optimal charging conditions.
- Locate the charging port on the battery or motorcycle frame.
- Connect the charger to the charging port, then plug the charger into a standard wall outlet.
- The charging indicator on the charger will change (e.g., from red to green) when charging is complete. Charging time is typically 5-10 hours.
- Disconnect the charger once charging is complete.
Tire Inflation and Brake Adjustment
- Check the tire pressure using a pressure gauge. Inflate tires to the recommended PSI (usually found on the tire sidewall) for optimal performance and safety.
- Test the front and rear brakes. Ensure they engage smoothly and provide adequate stopping power. Adjust brake levers if necessary to achieve comfortable reach and effective braking.
4. Operating Instructions
Understanding the controls and riding modes will enhance your experience with the Freego X2Pro.
Powering On/Off and Display Functions

- Power On: Press and hold the power button on the M5 display until it illuminates.
- Power Off: Press and hold the power button again until the display turns off.
- M5 Display: The M5 display shows real-time speed, battery level, current speed mode, total mileage, and trip mileage. Use the control buttons near the display to cycle through information or adjust settings.
Riding Modes
The Freego X2Pro offers three distinct riding modes to suit different preferences and terrains.

Figure 4.2: The Freego X2Pro supports Bike Mode, Electric Mode, and Pedal Assist Mode.
- Bike Mode (Pedal Only): The motor is off, and you propel the motorcycle solely by pedaling, similar to a traditional bicycle.
- Electric Mode (Throttle Only): Use the half-twist throttle to control speed without pedaling. This mode provides full electric power.
- Pedal Assist Mode: The magnetic pedal-assist sensor activates the motor to provide assistance as you pedal. This mode offers a smooth blend of human power and electric boost.
The motorcycle also features two speed settings: City mode (up to 28 MPH) and Off-road mode (up to 50 MPH). Select the appropriate mode based on your riding environment and local regulations.
Throttle Operation and Braking
- Throttle: Gently twist the half-twist throttle to accelerate. Release the throttle to decelerate.
- Braking: Apply both front and rear brake levers simultaneously for balanced and effective stopping. The four-piston hydraulic brakes provide strong stopping power.
Gear Shifting (7-Speed)
The Freego X2Pro is equipped with a 7-speed gearing system to assist with pedaling on varied terrain.
- Use the twist grip shifter on the handlebar to change gears.
- Shift to lower gears (larger cogs) for easier pedaling uphill or against strong headwinds.
- Shift to higher gears (smaller cogs) for faster speeds on flat terrain or downhill.
- Shift gears smoothly while pedaling to avoid strain on the drivetrain.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your Freego X2Pro Electric Motorcycle.
Cleaning
- Wipe down the frame and components with a damp cloth. Avoid using high-pressure washers directly on electrical components.
- Clean the chain regularly and apply bicycle chain lubricant to prevent rust and ensure smooth operation.
Battery Care
- Charge the battery regularly, even if not in frequent use, to maintain its health. Avoid fully discharging the battery.
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50-60% capacity.
Tires and Brakes

Figure 5.1: The 19-inch x 2.0 fat tires are designed for various terrains.
- Tires: Check tire pressure before each ride and inflate to the recommended PSI. Inspect tires for cuts, punctures, or excessive wear.
- Brakes: Regularly check the brake levers for proper tension and responsiveness. Inspect brake pads for wear and replace them when necessary. Ensure brake discs are clean and free of oil or grease.
Suspension and General Inspection
- Suspension: Keep suspension components clean. If you notice any unusual noises or reduced performance, consult a professional.
- Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts, nuts, and quick-release mechanisms to ensure they are tight and secure.
- Cables and Wiring: Inspect all cables and wiring for fraying, kinks, or damage. Ensure they are properly routed and secured.
