4.2. Power Connection

1. Place a spool of thread on the spool pin.
2. Guide the thread through the upper thread guide and around the bobbin winding tension disc.
3. Place an empty bobbin onto the bobbin winder spindle.
4. Wind the thread clockwise a few times around the bobbin.
5. Push the bobbin winder spindle to the right.
6. Press the foot pedal to start winding. Stop when the bobbin is full.
7. Cut the thread and push the bobbin winder spindle back to the left.

4.4. Inserting the Bobbin

1. Open the transparent bobbin cover plate.
2. Insert the wound bobbin into the bobbin case, ensuring the thread unwinds in the correct direction (usually counter-clockwise).
3. Follow the indicated threading path on the machine for the bobbin thread.
4. Replace the bobbin cover plate.

4.5. Threading the Upper Thread

Follow the numbered threading guides on the machine for proper upper thread tension and needle threading:

1. Raise the presser foot lever.
2. Place the thread spool on the spool pin.
3. Guide the thread through the upper thread guide (1).
4. Bring the thread down through the right thread channel (2).
5. Loop the thread up and around the take-up lever (3) from right to left.
6. Bring the thread down through the left thread channel (4).
7. Pass the thread behind the needle bar thread guide (5).
8. Thread the needle from front to back. Use the manual needle threader if desired.

4.6. Needle Installation

To install or change the needle:

1. Turn the handwheel towards you to raise the needle to its highest position.
2. Loosen the needle clamp screw.
3. Remove the old needle (if applicable).
4. Insert the new needle with the flat side facing the back of the machine, pushing it up as far as it will go.
5. Tighten the needle clamp screw securely.
