1. Important Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before using your IFB 30BRC4 Convection Microwave. Retain this manual for future reference. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or injury.

• Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open as this can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy.
• Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.
• Do not operate the oven if it is damaged. It is particularly important that the oven door closes properly and that there is no damage to the: (1) door (bent), (2) hinges and latches (broken or loosened), (3) door seals and sealing surfaces.
• The oven should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except properly qualified service personnel.
• Ensure proper ventilation around the appliance. Do not block any ventilation openings.
• Always use oven-safe cookware. Metal containers are not suitable for microwave mode.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the microwave oven and all packing materials from the carton. Check the oven for any damage, such as dents or a misaligned door. Do not operate the oven if it is damaged. Contact customer service if any damage is found.

3.2 Placement

Place the microwave oven on a stable, level surface that can support its weight. Ensure there is adequate space for ventilation. Maintain a minimum clearance of 20 cm (8 inches) above the oven, 10 cm (4 inches) at the rear, and 5 cm (2 inches) on both sides for proper airflow.

3.3 Power Connection

Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the specifications of the appliance. Do not use extension cords or adapters.

Before first use, wipe the interior and exterior of the oven with a damp cloth. Ensure all accessories are clean.

4.1 Basic Microwave Cooking

1. Place food in a microwave-safe container.

3. Press the 'Microwave' button.
4. Use the time adjustment buttons to set the desired cooking time.
5. Press 'Start' to begin cooking.

4.2 Convection Cooking

Convection mode uses a fan to circulate hot air, ideal for baking and roasting.

1. Place food on the baking tray or grill rack.
2. Press the 'Convection' button.
3. Set the desired temperature using the temperature adjustment buttons.
4. Set the cooking time.

5.1 General Cleaning

• Interior: After each use, wipe the interior with a damp cloth to remove food splatters. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent solution. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
• Exterior: Clean the exterior surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid getting water into the ventilation openings.
• Door Seals: Regularly clean the door seals and adjacent parts with a damp cloth to ensure proper sealing.
• Turntable and Roller Ring: Remove and wash the glass turntable and roller ring in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher.
