- Placement: Place the rice cooker on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, away from walls or cabinets to allow for proper ventilation. Ensure it is not near any water sources.
- Power Connection: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into the cooker's receptacle and then into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
Cooking Rice
- Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. One full cup of uncooked rice typically yields about two cups of cooked rice.
- Rinse Rice (Optional): Rinse rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch.
- Add Water: Place the rinsed rice into the non-stick inner pot. Add the appropriate amount of water. A general guideline is 1:1 ratio for white rice (e.g., 1 cup rice to 1 cup water), but refer to rice packaging for specific recommendations. The inner pot has water level markings for convenience.
- Place Inner Pot: Ensure the exterior of the inner pot is dry, then place it into the main unit. Rotate it slightly to ensure good contact with the heating element.
- Close Lid: Place the tempered glass lid securely on the cooker.
- Start Cooking: Plug in the cooker. Press the "COOK" switch down. The "COOK" indicator light will illuminate.
- Automatic Keep Warm: Once the rice is cooked, the cooker will automatically switch to "WARM" mode, and the "WARM" indicator light will illuminate. For best results, allow rice to rest in "WARM" mode for 5-10 minutes before serving.
- Serve: Use the provided rice paddle to fluff and serve the rice.
Steaming Food
The steam tray allows you to steam vegetables, fish, or other foods simultaneously with rice or independently.
- Prepare Water: Add the appropriate amount of water to the inner pot. For steaming only, ensure the water level is below the steam tray. For steaming while cooking rice, follow rice cooking instructions for water level.
- Prepare Food: Place vegetables, fish, or other foods into the steam tray. Ensure food is cut into uniform pieces for even cooking.
- Assemble: Place the inner pot with water into the main unit. Then, place the steam tray on top of the inner pot.
- Close Lid: Place the tempered glass lid securely on the cooker.
- Start Steaming: Plug in the cooker and press the "COOK" switch down. The "COOK" indicator light will illuminate.
- Monitor and Serve: Steaming times vary by food type. Monitor progress through the glass lid. Once food is cooked to desired tenderness, carefully remove the steam tray using oven mitts.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your rice cooker.
- Always Unplug: Before cleaning, always unplug the rice cooker from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely.
- Inner Pot and Accessories: The non-stick inner pot, steam tray, glass lid, rice paddle, and measuring cup should be hand washed with warm, soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as these can damage the non-stick coating. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid. Ensure no water enters the electrical components.
- Storage: Store the cleaned and dried rice cooker in a cool, dry place.

| Rice is too wet or mushy. | Too much water; rice not rinsed (excess starch). | Reduce water amount next time. Rinse rice thoroughly before cooking. |
