3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Initial Inspection
Upon receiving your luggage, inspect it for any signs of damage during transit. Ensure all zippers, wheels, and the telescopic handle operate smoothly.
3.2 Setting the TSA Combination Lock
Your luggage comes with a preset combination of 0-0-0. To set your personal combination:
- Ensure the lock is set to the default combination (0-0-0) and the zippers are disengaged.
- Locate the reset button (a small, recessed button, usually requiring a pen tip to press). Press and hold this button.
- While holding the reset button, rotate the dials to your desired 3-digit combination.
- Release the reset button. Your new combination is now set. Test it by scrambling the numbers and then entering your new combination to open the lock.
Important: Remember your combination. There is no master key provided for personal use, and VEVOR cannot assist in resetting a forgotten combination.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Using the Telescopic Handle
To extend the handle, press the button located on the top of the handle and pull upwards. Release the button at your desired height. To retract, press the button and push the handle downwards until it is fully nested.
4.2 Maneuvering with Spinner Wheels
The 360° spinner wheels allow the luggage to be pushed or pulled in any direction. For optimal control and reduced strain, push the luggage alongside you on all four wheels, especially in crowded areas.
4.3 Utilizing the Expansion Feature
To expand the luggage, locate the expansion zipper running along the perimeter of the main compartment. Unzip this zipper to increase the depth and packing volume of your suitcase. Zip it back up to return to the standard size.
4.4 Packing Guidelines
- Use the internal compression straps to secure your belongings and prevent shifting during transit.
- Utilize the mesh dividers and pockets for organizing smaller items, toiletries, or dirty laundry.
- Place heavier items at the bottom of the luggage, closer to the wheels, for better balance.
- The front pockets are ideal for items you need to access quickly, such as travel documents, a laptop, or a tablet.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Exterior
Wipe the oxford fabric exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the fabric. Allow the luggage to air dry completely before storage.
5.2 Wheel Care
Periodically check the spinner wheels for debris such as hair or lint. Clean them gently with a small brush or cloth. If wheels become stiff, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the axle.
5.3 Zipper Maintenance
Keep zippers free from dirt and debris. If a zipper becomes difficult to operate, apply a small amount of zipper lubricant or wax to the teeth.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 TSA Lock Issues
- Lock not opening: Ensure you are entering the correct 3-digit combination. If you have forgotten your combination, VEVOR cannot provide a master key or reset code.
- Reset button stuck: Ensure the reset button is fully depressed and released after setting the new combination.
6.2 Sticking or Noisy Wheels
- Debris: Check for and remove any hair, lint, or small objects caught in the wheel mechanism.
- Lubrication: Apply a small amount of silicone spray or light oil to the wheel axles if they are stiff.
- Damage: If a wheel is visibly damaged or broken, contact VEVOR customer support for assistance.
6.3 Handle Malfunctions
- Handle stuck: Ensure the release button is fully pressed when extending or retracting. Check for any obstructions in the handle's telescoping mechanism.
- Wobbling: A slight wobble is normal for telescopic handles. Excessive wobbling or difficulty extending/retracting may indicate internal damage. Avoid overloading the handle.
6.4 Zipper Problems
- Stuck zipper: Do not force a stuck zipper. Gently try to move the puller back and forth. Check for fabric caught in the teeth and carefully remove it. Apply zipper lubricant if needed.
- Separating teeth: If zipper teeth separate after closing, try to pull the slider back past the separation point and re-zip. If the problem persists, the zipper may be damaged.
