2. Setup and Initial Winding
Your OLEVS automatic watch is powered by the motion of your wrist. For initial use or after a period of inactivity, it requires manual winding to build up a power reserve.
2.1. Manual Winding
- Ensure the crown is in position 0 (fully pushed in).
- Rotate the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will initiate the movement and build a sufficient power reserve.
2.2. Setting the Time and Date
The watch features a 4-calendar function (year, month, week, day) and a 24-hour display. Refer to the diagram below for button and dial locations.

Figure 2.1: Watch Function Diagram.
- Setting Time: Pull the crown out to position 2. Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands. Push the crown back to position 0 when done.
- Adjusting Month: Use the 'Adjust Month Buttons' located on the side of the watch (refer to Figure 2.1).
- Adjusting Calendar (Day of Month): Use the 'Adjust Calendar Button' located on the side of the watch (refer to Figure 2.1).
- Adjusting Year and Week: Use the 'Left function knob' (refer to Figure 2.1) to adjust the year and week.
Important: Avoid adjusting the date or day between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement while the gears are engaged in the automatic date change process.
3. Operating Your Automatic Watch
Your OLEVS watch is a self-winding mechanical timepiece designed for daily wear.
3.1. Automatic Movement
The watch features a precision automatic movement with self-winding capabilities and stabilized ball bearings. It winds 21,600 times per hour and has a power reserve of approximately 44 hours when fully wound. Regular wear (8-10 hours a day) will keep the watch wound. If the watch stops, manually wind it as described in Section 2.1.
3.2. Luminous Function
The watch hands and hour markers are treated with a luminous material, allowing for readability in low-light conditions. Exposure to light (natural or artificial) charges the luminous elements.

3.3. Water Resistance
This watch is rated for 30ATM (30 meters) water resistance. This means it is suitable for daily life waterproof activities such as washing hands, doing housework, short soaks in water, and light rain. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, or hot water activities (e.g., hot showers, saunas) as steam can penetrate the seals.

4. Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the appearance of your OLEVS watch.
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and stainless steel strap regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and smudges. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
- Water Exposure: While water-resistant, avoid prolonged exposure to water. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water. Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperature changes, which can affect water resistance seals.
- Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields (e.g., speakers, refrigerators, mobile phones, computers) as magnetism can affect the accuracy of mechanical movements.
- Impact: Avoid dropping the watch or subjecting it to strong impacts, which can damage the internal mechanism or exterior.
- Storage: When not wearing the watch for extended periods, store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original box or a watch winder to keep it running.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your watch, consider the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Watch stops or runs intermittently | Insufficient power reserve (not enough movement or manual winding) | Manually wind the watch by rotating the crown clockwise 30-40 times. Wear the watch regularly for 8-10 hours a day. |
| Time is inaccurate (running fast or slow) | Exposure to strong magnetic fields; internal movement issue | Keep the watch away from magnetic sources. If inaccuracy persists, professional service may be required. |
| Date/Day not changing correctly | Date/day adjusted during restricted hours (9 PM - 3 AM) | Avoid adjusting date/day during restricted hours. If the issue persists, consult a professional watch repair service. |
| Condensation under crystal | Water ingress due to damaged seals or exposure to steam/hot water | Immediately take the watch to a professional for inspection and repair to prevent further damage. Avoid hot water. |
For issues not listed above or if solutions do not resolve the problem, please contact OLEVS customer support or a certified watch repair specialist.
