Setup and Installation
Follow these steps carefully to set up your solar power system. Refer to Figure 1 for a visual guide.
- Connect the Solar Charge Controller to the Battery:
First, connect the positive (+) terminal of the 12V battery to the positive (+) battery terminal on the solar charge controller. Then, connect the negative (-) terminal of the battery to the negative (-) battery terminal on the controller. The controller will automatically detect the battery voltage. Ensure correct polarity.

Figure 4: Inverter Connected to Car Battery. This image shows an example of the inverter being connected to a car battery, demonstrating the use of battery clips for DC input.
- Connect the Solar Panel to the Charge Controller:
Next, connect the positive (+) terminal of the solar panel to the positive (+) solar panel terminal on the charge controller. Then, connect the negative (-) terminal of the solar panel to the negative (-) solar panel terminal on the controller. Be careful not to reverse the connection.

Figure 5: Solar Panel in Use. This image depicts the solar panel deployed outdoors, connected to the inverter, providing power in a camping or outdoor setting.
- Connect the Load to the Charge Controller (Optional for DC loads):
If you have 12V DC loads, connect their positive (+) and negative (-) poles to the corresponding load terminals on the solar charge controller. Ensure correct polarity.
- Connect the Power Inverter to the Battery:
Finally, connect the positive (+) DC input terminal of the power inverter to the positive (+) terminal of the 12V battery. Connect the negative (-) DC input terminal of the inverter to the negative (-) terminal of the battery. Use the provided battery clips or appropriate wiring. Ensure secure connections and correct polarity.
Important: The disassembly sequence is the reverse of the wiring sequence. Always disconnect the solar panel first, then the load, and finally the battery when disassembling the system.
