3. Filter Replacement Instructions
Follow these steps to replace the PPC filter in your DREO WF511 water filter system:
- Unplug the Water Filter: Disconnect the water filter from the power outlet.
- Open the Top Cover: Carefully open the top cover of the DREO WF511 system.
- Remove Old Filter: Locate the PPC filter. Rotate the old PPC filter counterclockwise until it stops, then pull it out.
- Insert New Filter: Place the new PPC filter into its corresponding compartment. Rotate it clockwise until it stops. Ensure the filter is placed correctly.
- Close the Top Cover: Securely close the top cover of the water filter system.
- Plug In: Reconnect the water filter to the power outlet.
- Reset Filter Life: Refer to your DREO WF511 system's display for instructions on resetting the PPC filter life indicator. Typically, this involves a long press on a specific button for a few seconds.
- Flush the System: Flush the system with approximately 2 tanks of tap water before initial use or after filter replacement. This helps remove any carbon fines and ensures optimal performance.

4. Maintenance and Storage
Proper maintenance and storage ensure the longevity and effectiveness of your DREO PPC filter.
Filter Storage (When Not in Use for More Than 3 Days):
- Unplug and Remove Filters: Unplug the water filter system. Open the top cover and remove both the PPC and RO filters by rotating them counterclockwise and pulling them out.
- Wrap Filters: Wrap the removed filters tightly with plastic wrap to prevent them from drying out.
- Refrigerate: Store the wrapped filters in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.
Resuming Use:
- Remove from Refrigerator: Take the filters out of the refrigerator.
- Unwrap Filters: Remove the plastic wrap from both filters.
- Insert Filters: Insert the filters back into their corresponding compartments in the water filter system. Rotate them clockwise until they stop.
- Close Cover and Plug In: Close the top cover and plug in the water filter system.
- Clean Raw Water Tank: Remove the raw water tank. Rinse and clean it with a cleaning brush.
- Fill Tank: Fill the raw water tank with tap water up to the MAX line.
- Place Tank Back: Place the filled raw water tank back into the system and press it firmly. Close the cover.
- System Refill: Wait for the system to automatically filter the water and fill the pitcher.
- Flush System (Again): Filter about 3 pitchers of water. When the Refill indicator flashes, remove the tank, pour out the wastewater, refill the tank, and place it back. Repeat this process until the system has filtered approximately 3 pitchers of water.
