1. Product Overview

The CACOE K08 Keyboard Case is designed to enhance your iPad experience, transforming it into a versatile workstation. It features a detachable wireless keyboard with a multi-color backlight, a high-precision trackpad, and a protective case with a dedicated stylus slot. This manual provides instructions for setup, operation, and maintenance.

2. Compatibility

This keyboard case is exclusively compatible with the following iPad Air models:

  • iPad Air 11-inch (2026/2025/2024, M4/M3/M2)
  • iPad Air 10.9-inch (5th/4th Generation)

Note: Not compatible with iPad A16 11th Generation / iPad 10th Generation (2025/2023).

Compatible iPad model numbers include: A3266/A3267/A3270/A2902/A2903/A2904/A2588/A2589/A2316.

3. Setup: Bluetooth Connection

Follow these steps to connect your CACOE K08 keyboard to your iPad:

  1. Ensure the keyboard is charged and powered on.
  2. Slide the power switch on the keyboard from OFF to ON.
  3. On your iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth ON.
  4. Press and hold the "Fn" key and the "C" key simultaneously for 3-4 seconds until the connection indicator light on the keyboard blinks.
  5. On your iPad, look for "Wireless Keyboard" in the list of available devices and tap to connect.
  6. Once connected, the indicator light on the keyboard will stop blinking.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Keyboard Layout and Special Characters (AZERTY)

The keyboard features an AZERTY layout. To ensure correct character input, especially for special characters, verify your iPad's keyboard settings:

  1. After connecting, go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards. Confirm that the input language is set to French.
  2. Then, navigate to Physical Keyboard and select French (France).

For specific characters:

  • To type @: Press Alt Gr + à (or Option + @ on some layouts).
  • To type : Press Alt Gr + E (or Option + $ on some layouts).
  • For other special characters, refer to the keycaps or your iPad's on-screen keyboard for guidance.

4.2. Backlight Control

The keyboard features 7 backlight colors and 3 brightness levels.

  • To turn the backlight ON/OFF or adjust brightness: Press Fn + Light bulb icon key. Each press cycles through brightness levels (20% increase per press) and then turns off.
  • To change backlight color: Press Fn + RGB icon key. This will cycle through the 7 available colors.

Note: If the battery level is below 20%, the keyboard backlight may not turn on or may turn off immediately. Please charge the keyboard.

4.3. Trackpad Functions

The integrated trackpad supports multi-touch gestures for efficient navigation:

  • Click: Single tap with one finger.
  • Scroll: Drag two fingers up or down.
  • Zoom In/Out: Pinch with two fingers.
  • Swipe between apps: Swipe left or right with three fingers.
  • To activate/deactivate the trackpad: Press Fn + Spacebar.

4.4. Media and Brightness Controls

Use the dedicated function keys for quick access to media and screen brightness controls:

  • Volume Down: Press Fn + F7 (speaker icon with minus).
  • Volume Up: Press Fn + F8 (speaker icon with plus).
  • Screen Brightness Down: Press Fn + F1 (sun icon with minus).
  • Screen Brightness Up: Press Fn + F2 (sun icon with plus).

5. Charging the Keyboard

The keyboard is powered by a rechargeable battery. To charge:

  1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the side of the keyboard.
  2. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.

6. Maintenance

  • Clean the keyboard and case with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Keep the keyboard away from liquids and extreme temperatures.
  • Store the stylus in its designated slot to prevent loss.
  • The keyboard is detachable via magnets. Handle with care to avoid accidental detachment.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Ensure the keyboard is charged and powered on.
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPad.
  • Press Fn + C to put the keyboard in pairing mode.

Special characters (e.g., @, €) are not typing correctly.
  • Verify your iPad's keyboard settings: Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards. Ensure French is selected.
  • Go to Physical Keyboard and select French (France).
  • Ensure you are using the correct key combinations (e.g., Alt Gr for some characters).
Backlight is not working or is dim.
  • Charge the keyboard fully. The backlight may not function if the battery is low.
  • Press Fn + Light bulb icon key to cycle through brightness levels.
Trackpad is unresponsive.
  • Ensure the trackpad is enabled by pressing Fn + Spacebar.
  • Restart the keyboard and iPad.
