Setup
Initial Charge
Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge your JBL Flip 7. Connect a compatible USB-C charging cable (not included) to the speaker's USB-C port and to a power source. The charging indicator will show the battery status.
Power On/Off
- To power on, press the power button located on the control panel.
- To power off, press and hold the power button until the speaker shuts down.
Operating Instructions
Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the JBL Flip 7 is powered on.
- Press the Bluetooth button on the speaker. The LED indicator will flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
- On your mobile device, navigate to Bluetooth settings and select "JBL Flip 7" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, the LED indicator will turn solid.
Auracast (Multi-Speaker Pairing)
The JBL Flip 7 supports Auracast technology, allowing you to broadcast audio to multiple compatible JBL Auracast-enabled speakers without traditional pairing. This creates a wider soundstage for larger gatherings.
- Connect your primary JBL Flip 7 to your audio source via Bluetooth.
- Press the Auracast button on the primary speaker.
- On any secondary JBL Auracast-enabled speakers, press their respective Auracast buttons.
- The speakers will automatically connect and synchronize audio.

Wired Connection (USB-C Audio)
For lossless audio playback, you can connect a device directly to the JBL Flip 7 using a USB-C to USB-C cable (not included).
- Ensure the JBL Flip 7 is powered on.
- Connect one end of a USB-C to USB-C cable to your audio source (e.g., laptop, smartphone) and the other end to the USB-C port on the JBL Flip 7.
- The speaker will automatically detect the wired connection and play audio from the connected device.

Charging
The JBL Flip 7 is equipped with a smart charging system. If water or debris is detected in the USB-C charging port, the speaker will prevent charging and indicate this with flashing lights. Allow the port to dry completely before attempting to charge again. Avoid inserting tissue paper or other materials into the port, as this can leave debris and cause damage.
