5. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the efficient operation of your portable air conditioner. Follow these steps carefully.

5.1 Unit Placement

  • Place the unit on a firm, level surface in the desired room.
  • Ensure there is at least 20 inches (50 cm) of clearance around the unit for proper airflow.
  • Avoid placing the unit near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
  • Ensure the power cord can reach a grounded 115V/60Hz outlet without using an extension cord.

5.2 Window Kit Installation

The included window kit is compatible with vertical hung and horizontal sliding windows measuring 26.57 to 49.21 inches.

  1. Assemble Window Panels: Adjust the window panels to fit your window opening. Secure them together if multiple panels are used.
  2. Install Window Kit: Place the assembled window panel kit into the window opening and extend it to fit snugly. Close the window to hold the kit in place.
  3. Attach Hose Adapter to Exhaust Hose: Twist one end of the hose adapter onto the exhaust hose.
  4. Connect Exhaust Hose to Window Kit: Insert the other end of the hose adapter into the opening of the window panel.
  5. Connect Exhaust Hose to Unit: Attach the remaining hose adapter to the other end of the exhaust hose, then connect it to the exhaust outlet on the back of the portable air conditioner unit. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent air leakage.

5.3 Drainage Setup

The unit features drainage-free technology for automatic condensate evaporation during normal use. However, in high humidity conditions (above 60%) or during heavy use, manual draining or continuous drainage may be required.

  • Manual Draining: When the internal water tank is full, the unit will display a "FULL" indicator and stop operation. Place a shallow pan or tray under the drain port at the bottom rear of the unit, remove the drain plug, and allow water to drain. Replace the plug securely after draining.
  • Continuous Draining: For continuous operation in high humidity, attach the provided drain pipe to the continuous drain port (usually located higher on the unit) and direct the other end to a floor drain or a larger container.

  • Cool Mode: Provides powerful cooling. Set your desired temperature between 61°F (16°C) and 88°F (31°C).
  • Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling. Choose from 3 fan speeds (Low, Medium, High).
  • Dry (Dehumidifier) Mode: Removes excess moisture from the air. The fan speed is fixed in this mode.
  • Sleep Mode: Operates quietly with reduced fan speed and gradually increases the set temperature over time to maintain comfort while you sleep. Noise level drops below 50 dB.

6.3 Timer Function
