1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Zalman Raven ATX Mid-Tower Gaming PC Case. This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your new PC case. Please read this manual thoroughly before proceeding with installation to ensure optimal performance and safety.

2. Safety Information

• Always disconnect the power supply from the wall outlet before installing or removing any components.
• Wear an anti-static wrist strap to prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage to sensitive components.
• Handle tempered glass panels with care. Avoid impacts or sharp objects that could cause breakage.
• Ensure proper ventilation around the PC case to prevent overheating.
• Keep small parts and packaging materials away from children.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present in the package:

• Tempered Glass Side Panel (pre-installed)
• 1 x 120mm Rear Fan (pre-installed)

4. Setup and Installation

4.1. Preparing the Case

1. Place the case on a flat, stable surface.
2. Remove the tempered glass side panel by unscrewing the four thumb screws. Carefully set the panel aside on a soft, non-abrasive surface.
3. Remove the rear metal side panel by unscrewing the two thumb screws and sliding it backward.

4.2. Motherboard Installation

The Zalman Raven case supports ATX, Micro-ATX (mATX), and Mini-ITX motherboards.

1. Install the I/O shield into the rear opening of the case.
2. Align your motherboard with the pre-installed standoffs. If your motherboard is Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX, ensure additional standoffs are installed in the correct positions as indicated by your motherboard manual.
3. Secure the motherboard with the provided screws.

4.3. Component Clearance and Installation

Ensure your components fit within the specified dimensions:

• CPU Cooler: Maximum height of 150mm.
• Graphics Card (VGA): Maximum length of 295mm.
• Power Supply Unit (PSU): Maximum length of 140mm. Install the PSU in the bottom rear compartment.
• Storage Drives: Supports 1 x 3.5" HDD or 2.5" SSD (combo bay) and 4 x 2.5" SSDs. Mount drives in the designated locations.

4.4. Fan and Radiator Support

The case includes one pre-installed 120mm rear fan. Additional cooling options are available:

• Front: Supports 2 x 120mm fans or 1 x 240mm radiator.
• Rear: Supports 1 x 120mm fan or 1 x 120mm radiator. (120mm fan pre-installed)

4.5. Cable Management

Utilize the cable routing cutouts and tie-down points behind the motherboard tray to manage cables. This improves airflow and aesthetics.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Front I/O Panel

The front I/O panel provides convenient access to essential ports and controls:

• Power Button: Press to power on or off the system.
• LED Color Change Button: Cycles through various RGB lighting modes and colors for the front strip.
• USB 2.0 Ports: For connecting USB 2.0 devices.
• Stereo / Mic Jacks: For connecting headphones and microphones.
• USB 3.0 Port: For connecting high-speed USB 3.0 devices.

5.2. RGB Lighting Control

The integrated RGB lighting strip on the front panel can be controlled via the dedicated button on the I/O panel. Press the button to cycle through different lighting effects and static colors.

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior of the case. For the tempered glass panel, use a glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

• Internal Cleaning: Periodically open the case and use compressed air to remove dust buildup from components and fans. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning internally.
