4. Setup and Assembly

The DEEPOWER V8 electric bicycle comes 85% pre-assembled. Follow these general steps to complete the assembly:

  1. Unpack the Bicycle: Carefully remove the bicycle and all components from the packaging.
  2. Install the Front Wheel: Attach the front wheel, ensuring it is centered and the quick release is securely tightened.
  3. Install the Handlebars: Mount the handlebars onto the stem, adjusting for comfortable riding posture, and tighten all bolts.
  4. Attach the Pedals: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread the left pedal counter-clockwise and the right pedal clockwise into the crank arms. Tighten firmly with a wrench.
  5. Install the Seat Post: Insert the seat post into the frame and adjust the seat height to your preference. Secure with the quick release lever.
  6. Install the Battery: Insert the removable battery into its designated compartment and ensure it locks securely.
  7. Initial Charge: Fully charge the battery before your first ride.

Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures. For long-term storage, charge the battery to 50-70% every 2-3 months to maintain its health.

5.3. Riding Modes

The DEEPOWER V8 offers three distinct riding modes:

  • Pure Electric Mode: The motor provides full power without pedal input.
  • Pedal-Assist Mode (PAS): The motor provides assistance as you pedal. Simply pedal for two revolutions to activate this mode.
  • Pure Pedal Mode: Ride the bicycle like a traditional bike, without any motor assistance.
