This user manual provides comprehensive instructions for the Bryton Rider 17 Bike Computer, Gardia R300L Radar Taillight, and Bryton Sport Mount Bundle. This bundle is designed to enhance your cycling experience by providing advanced performance insights and increased safety on the road. The Rider 17 offers a user-friendly setup, extended battery life, and real-time location sharing. When paired with the Gardia R300L, which detects vehicles up to 207 yards (190 meters) away with a wide 220° coverage, you will benefit from enhanced situational awareness. The included Bryton sport mount ensures secure and optimal positioning of your bike computer.

Setup
1. Installing the Bryton Sport Mount
The Bryton Sport Mount provides a stable platform for your Rider 17.
- Identify a suitable location on your bicycle handlebars or stem for the mount.
- Use the provided hex key to loosen the mount clamp.
- Position the mount and tighten the screws securely, ensuring it does not obstruct your view or controls.
- Once installed, the Rider 17 can be attached by aligning its rear grooves with the mount's tabs and twisting until it locks into place.

2. Setting up the Bryton Rider 17 Bike Computer
Upon first use, the Rider 17 will guide you through initial setup steps.
- Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually on the side) until the screen illuminates.
- Language Selection: Follow the on-screen prompts to select your preferred language.
- Unit Settings: Choose your desired units for distance (km/mi), speed (km/h/mph), and temperature (°C/°F).
- Time Zone: Set your local time zone.
- Pairing Sensors: The Rider 17 can automatically detect and pair with compatible ANT+ and Bluetooth sensors, including the Gardia R300L. Navigate to the sensor pairing menu and initiate a search.

3. Installing the Gardia R300L Radar Taillight
The Gardia R300L attaches to your bicycle's seatpost.
- Select a clear section on your seatpost for mounting.
- Use the provided rubber straps or mount to secure the Gardia R300L vertically, ensuring the light faces directly backward and the radar has an unobstructed view.
- Ensure the taillight is firmly attached and does not wobble during rides.
- To power on the Gardia R300L, press and hold the power button until the light illuminates.

Operating Instructions
Bryton Rider 17 Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: Press and hold the left button to power on. Press and hold again to power off.
- Start/Stop Recording: Press the right button to start a ride recording. Press again to pause/stop.
- Page Navigation: Use the side buttons to cycle through different data pages (e.g., speed, distance, time, altitude).
- Large Fonts: The 3-inch segment type HTN LCD provides large, easy-to-read fonts for clear data visibility during your ride.
- Auto Upload: After connecting to the Bryton Active app, your ride data can be automatically uploaded.

Gardia R300L Radar and Taillight Operation
- Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button on the taillight to turn it on or off.
- Light Modes: Briefly press the power button to cycle through the six adaptable light modes: High Solid, Low Solid, Group Ride, Day Flash, Night Flash, and Radar Only.
- Radar Function: When paired with the Rider 17, the Gardia R300L detects vehicles approaching from behind up to 190 meters (207 yards) away, providing visual and audible alerts on your Rider 17 display.
- Visibility: The 73-lumen Day Flash mode ensures visibility up to 1.6 km (1 mile) during daylight hours.
- Viewing Angle: The radar offers a wide 220° viewing angle for comprehensive rear detection.

Live Track Feature (Rider 17)
The Live Track feature allows you to share your real-time ride data with friends and family.
- Ensure your Rider 17 is paired with the Bryton Active app on your smartphone.
- In the Bryton Active app, navigate to the Live Track section.
- Generate a sharing link.
- Share this link via any messaging application. Recipients can view your live location, speed, ride time, and distance.
Maintenance
Charging
- Rider 17: The Rider 17 offers up to 25 hours of battery life. It supports charging via a power bank during rides using its USB port.
- Gardia R300L: The Gardia R300L provides up to 17 hours of battery life depending on the light mode. Recharge easily via its USB Type-C port. A battery time display is available.

Cleaning and Storage
- Wipe the devices with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure charging ports are dry before connecting cables.
- Store the devices in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
- For long-term storage, ensure batteries are partially charged (around 50%) to preserve battery health.
