2. Setup and Installation

2.1 Powering the Display Console

2.2 Installing the 7-in-1 Outdoor Sensor

The outdoor sensor measures temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV index, and light intensity. Proper placement is crucial for accurate readings.

  1. Choose a Location: Select an open area free from obstructions (buildings, trees) that could interfere with wind or rain measurements. The sensor has a 100m transmission range to the console.
  2. Mounting Options: The sensor can be mounted on a pole or a flat surface. Ensure it is level for accurate rain gauge readings. If mounting on a pole, a minimum diameter of 2.4 cm (0.9 inches) is recommended.
  3. Battery Installation: Install 3xAA batteries (not included) into the outdoor sensor's battery compartment. Ensure correct polarity.
  4. Sensor Details: Under the battery cover, you will find a reset button, an LED indicator, and a manual transmit signal button.
