2.1 Unboxing and Package Contents

2.2 Physical Setup

The keyboard features adjustable feet on the underside to customize the typing angle. Flip out the stands to raise the keyboard to your preferred height.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Knob Function and Display Screen

The multi-functional knob located on the top right of the keyboard controls volume. Rotate clockwise for volume up, counter-clockwise for volume down, and press to mute/unmute. This knob is hot-swappable and can be replaced with a standard Home key if preferred.

The integrated display screen provides real-time information, including battery level, current operating system (WIN/MAC), and volume level (when drivers are running).

4. Maintenance

4.1 Keycap and Switch Replacement

The RK L98 features hot-swappable switches, allowing you to easily change switches without soldering. Use the provided 2-in-1 keycap & switch puller for safe removal and installation.

• To remove a keycap: Gently pull the keycap straight up using the keycap puller.
• To remove a switch: Use the switch puller to grasp the switch firmly and pull it straight up.
• To install a switch: Align the pins of the new switch with the sockets on the PCB and press down gently until it clicks into place. Ensure pins are not bent.
• To install a keycap: Align the keycap over the switch stem and press down firmly.

4.2 Cleaning

To clean your keyboard, disconnect it from your device. Use a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with a small amount of water or isopropyl alcohol to wipe down the keycaps and chassis. For deeper cleaning, remove keycaps and use compressed air to clear debris from under the switches.

5.1 Connectivity Issues

• Wired Connection: Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and your device, and the mode switch is in the wired position.
• Bluetooth Connection: Verify the keyboard is in Bluetooth pairing mode (FN+Q/W/E) and your device's Bluetooth is enabled and searching. Try forgetting the device on your computer and re-pairing.
• 2.4GHz Wireless Connection: Ensure the 2.4GHz receiver is properly inserted into a USB port and the keyboard is in 2.4GHz pairing mode (FN+P). The receiver is factory-paired, so re-pairing should only be necessary if connection is lost.
