5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Placement

For optimal performance, place the dehumidifier in a location where the humidity is highest and air circulation is good. Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space around the unit for proper airflow.

  • Do not place the unit near heat-generating appliances.
  • Ensure the unit is on a level, stable surface to prevent water spills.
  • Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight.

5.2 Power Connection

Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The dehumidifier is designed to operate on standard household voltage.

5.3 Drainage Options

Your dehumidifier offers two methods for water removal:

5.3.1 Manual Drainage (Water Tank)

The dehumidifier will collect moisture in its internal 1.4-gallon water tank. When the tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off and illuminate the "Tank Full" indicator. Carefully remove the tank, empty the water, and reinsert it securely to resume operation.

5.3.2 Continuous Drainage (Drainage Hose)

For continuous operation without needing to empty the tank, attach the included drainage hose to the continuous drain port on the back of the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity to drain the water into a floor drain or suitable container. Do not allow the hose to be kinked or elevated.
