1. Introduction
The Thermaltake Tower 250 mITX Mini Tower is designed to accommodate compact mITX builds while retaining the distinctive octagonal design of the Tower series. This chassis offers robust support for high-performance components within a small footprint, measuring approximately 19.9 inches (506mm) tall, 11.8 inches (300mm) wide, and 11.5 inches (281mm) deep. It supports GPUs up to 360mm in length and radiators up to 360mm. The case comes equipped with two 120mm CT fans pre-installed at the top for exhaust.

2. Setup and Installation
This section provides detailed instructions for assembling your PC components within the Thermaltake Tower 250 chassis.
2.1. Panel Removal
The Tower 250 features tool-free panel removal for easy access. The tempered glass panels on the front and two perforated panels on each side utilize magnets and push clips. Gently pull or unclip to remove them.

2.2. Motherboard Installation
- Ensure all necessary standoffs are correctly installed for your mITX motherboard.
- Carefully align your mITX motherboard with the standoffs and I/O shield opening.
- Secure the motherboard using the provided screws.
2.3. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation
The Tower 250 supports both SFX and ATX form factor PSUs. An SFX bracket is preinstalled. For ATX PSUs, ensure it fits within the specified dimensions.
- Mount the PSU to the designated bracket.
- Slide the PSU and bracket assembly into the chassis.
- Secure the PSU with screws from the rear of the chassis.
2.4. Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) Installation
The chassis supports GPUs up to 360mm in length (with the power cover removed). The vertical mounting orientation is a key feature.
- Install the PCI-e riser cable into the motherboard's PCI-e slot.
- Secure the riser cable to the chassis.
- Carefully insert the GPU into the riser cable's slot.
- Secure the GPU to the chassis using the provided screws or retention mechanism.
2.5. Storage Device Installation
The Tower 250 offers flexible storage options.
- 2.5" SSDs: Mount up to two 2.5" SSDs on the designated brackets, typically located behind the motherboard tray or in other accessible areas.
- 3.5" HDDs: The chassis can accommodate one 3.5" HDD, often sharing mounting points with 2.5" drives. Refer to the chassis diagram for specific locations.
2.6. Cooling System Installation
The Tower 250 comes with two 120mm CT fans pre-installed at the top. Additional cooling options are available.
- Fans: The chassis can accommodate up to eight 120mm fans or five 140mm fans in various positions (top, side, rear, PSU cover).
- Radiators: Supports radiators up to 360mm in size, typically on the side panel.
2.7. Cable Management
Utilize the cable routing channels and tie-down points behind the motherboard tray to organize cables. This improves airflow and aesthetics.

3. Operating Instructions
Once all components are installed and secured, reattach all panels. Connect your peripherals, monitor, and power cable. Press the power button on the top I/O panel to start your system.
3.1. Front I/O Ports
The top panel features convenient I/O ports for easy access:
- 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port
- 2 x USB 3.0 ports
- Power Button
- HD Audio Jacks (Headphone/Microphone)

4. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your PC components.
- Dust Filters: The Tower 250 includes removable dust filters on the top, rear, inner sides, and inner bottom layer. Regularly remove and clean these filters to prevent dust buildup and maintain good airflow.
- Panel Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior panels. For tempered glass, use a glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive materials.
- Internal Cleaning: Periodically open the case and use compressed air to remove dust from fans, heatsinks, and other components.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Power: Ensure the PSU is switched on, the power cable is securely connected, and all internal power connections (24-pin, CPU, GPU) are properly seated.
- No Display: Verify that the monitor cable is connected to the GPU (not the motherboard I/O unless using integrated graphics) and that the GPU is fully seated and powered.
- Overheating: Check fan connections and orientation. Ensure dust filters are clean and there is adequate airflow. Monitor component temperatures using software.
- Component Not Detected: Reseat the component (RAM, GPU, storage drive) and check its power and data connections.
