Setup and Installation
Car Seat Base Installation
- Place the car seat base on the vehicle seat in the rear-facing position.
- Route the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt through the designated belt path on the base.
- Engage the vehicle belt lock-off mechanism to secure the base tightly.
- Verify the recline angle using the recline indicator on the base. The indicator should be within the green zone for the child's weight.
- Attach the infant car seat to the installed base, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
Car Seat Installation Without Base (Vehicle Belt Only)
The Evenflo LiteMax 30 can be installed without its base, using only the vehicle's seat belt. This is useful for travel or when transferring the car seat to another vehicle without a base.
- Place the infant car seat on the vehicle seat in the rear-facing position.
- Route the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt through the designated belt guides on the car seat shell.
- Buckle the vehicle seat belt and pull it tight to remove all slack.
- Ensure the car seat is securely installed and does not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.

Operating Instructions
Securing Your Child
- Place your child in the car seat with their back flat against the seat back.
- Bring the harness straps over your child's shoulders and between their legs.
- Connect the two harness buckle tongues into the buckle.
- Pull the harness adjustment strap to tighten the harness until it is snug against your child's body. Ensure you cannot pinch any slack at the shoulder.
- Position the chest clip at armpit level.
Harness Adjustment
The harness features 4 shoulder height positions. To adjust the harness height:
- Unbuckle the harness and remove the car seat from the base (if applicable).
- Locate the harness slots on the back of the car seat.
- Thread the harness straps through the appropriate slots so they are at or just below your child's shoulders when rear-facing.
- Re-thread the harness straps through the front of the seat and re-buckle.
Canopy Use
The full-coverage canopy can be extended or retracted to shield your child from environmental elements. Simply pull the canopy forward or push it back as needed.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Cleaning the Fabric
- All fabric components are removable and machine washable.
- Refer to the care label on the fabric for specific washing instructions. Typically, machine wash cold on a delicate cycle and tumble dry low.
- Do not use bleach or harsh detergents.
Cleaning the Harness and Buckle
- Wipe harness straps with a damp cloth. Do not machine wash or submerge harness straps in water, as this can weaken the webbing.
- Clean the buckle by rinsing it under warm water. Do not use soaps or lubricants.
Cleaning the Shell and Base
- Wipe plastic and metal parts with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap.
- Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembly or use.
