Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for your child's safety. Always refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for specific car seat installation instructions and locations.
Installing the Car Seat Base:
- Place the car seat base on the vehicle seat in a rear-facing position. Ensure it is level.
- Route the vehicle's lap belt or LATCH system through the designated belt path on the base.
- Engage the vehicle belt lock-off mechanism to secure the base tightly. The base should not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
- Verify the recline angle using the built-in recline indicator on the base. The indicator should be within the acceptable range for your infant's weight.

Attaching the Infant Carrier to the Base:
- Align the infant carrier with the base.
- Lower the carrier onto the base until it clicks securely into place.
- Always check that the carrier is firmly attached to the base by lifting it slightly.
Operating the Car Seat
Placing Your Child in the Car Seat:
- Unbuckle the harness and loosen the shoulder straps.
- Place your infant in the car seat with their back flat against the seat back.
- Bring the harness straps over your child's shoulders and between their legs.
- Buckle the crotch buckle, then connect the chest clip. The chest clip should be positioned at armpit level.
- Tighten the harness straps until they are snug against your child's body. You should not be able to pinch any excess webbing at the shoulder.

- Fabric Pads: The fabric pads are removable and machine washable. Use cold water and a gentle cycle. Tumble dry on low heat or air dry. Do not use bleach.
- Harness Straps: Wipe harness straps with a damp cloth. Do not machine wash or submerge harness straps in water, as this can weaken the webbing.
- Plastic and Metal Parts: Wipe plastic and metal parts with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
