5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Switching Between Computers
The KVM switch offers two methods for switching between connected computers:
- Physical Button Control: Press the SELECT button on the front panel of the KVM switch to toggle between PC1 and PC2. The corresponding PC indicator LED will illuminate.
- Wired Remote Control: Press the button on the wired remote control to switch between PC1 and PC2. This allows you to place the KVM switch out of sight for a tidier desk.

5.2 Display Modes (Windows)
For Windows operating systems, you can configure your display mode using the keyboard shortcut Windows key + P.
- Duplicate Mode: Both monitors will display the same image simultaneously from the selected computer (PC1 or PC2).
- Extended Mode: The window from the main screen can be dragged to the second output screen, extending your desktop workspace.

5.3 Display Modes (Mac OS)
Mac OS does not support Multi-Stream Transport (MST) for extended displays across multiple external monitors from a single USB-C output. Therefore, when connected to a Mac OS laptop, the KVM switch will output two identical screens (mirror mode).

If you encounter issues, please refer to the following common solutions:
- No Display or Flickering Screen:
- Ensure all HDMI and USB-C cables are securely connected.
- Verify that the USB-C cable used for your laptop supports video and data transfer, not just charging.
- Try power cycling the KVM switch (turn off, unplug power, wait 10 seconds, plug back in, turn on).
- Check your computer's display settings to ensure the correct resolution and refresh rate are selected.
- Keyboard or Mouse Not Responding:
- Ensure the keyboard and mouse are connected to the dedicated USB 3.0 ports on the KVM switch.
- Try connecting the keyboard and mouse to different USB 3.0 ports on the KVM.
- Some specialized or backlit keyboards may have compatibility issues. If possible, test with a standard keyboard and mouse.
- Ensure the USB A-B cable (for PC2) and USB-C cable (for PC1) are properly connected to their respective computers.
- Laptop Not Charging via KVM PD Port:
- Ensure your laptop's power adapter is connected to the KVM's PD port.
- Verify that your laptop supports USB-C Power Delivery.
- The KVM supports up to 60W PD. If your laptop requires higher wattage, it may charge slowly or not at all.
- KVM Switch Feels Warm:
- It is normal for the KVM switch to generate some heat during operation. Ensure it has adequate ventilation and is not covered.
- If the device becomes excessively hot, disconnect power and contact support.
