4. Setup Instructions
- Ensure the park power breaker is in the OFF position.
- Plug the RV Surge Protector (Model DD232) directly into the park power pedestal without the RV attached.
- Turn on the park power breaker. The RV Surge Protector will automatically start to analyze the power quality.
- Once the display shows Energy, Watt, Volt, and Amp readings, it is ready for use.
- Turn the breaker OFF, plug in your RV's power cord to the surge protector, and then turn the breaker ON.

5. Operating Instructions
The 1.77-inch smart LED display provides real-time information about your power connection. Monitor the following readings:
- Energy (WH): Total energy consumed.
- Watt (W): Instantaneous power consumption.
- Volt (V): Real-time voltage of the power supply.
- Amp (A): Real-time current draw.
These readings help you understand your RV's power usage and ensure the power supply is within safe operating parameters.

6. Maintenance: Replaceable Surge Module
A unique feature of the VIPTOO RV Surge Protector (Model DD232) is its replaceable internal surge module. In the event of a significant power surge that compromises the module's protective capabilities, you do not need to replace the entire unit. Simply replace the damaged surge module with a new one (compatible part: DD232M-30A).
Replacement Steps:
- Unplug the unit from all power sources.
- Remove the 4 screws on the back panel of the surge protector.
- Carefully remove the damaged surge module.
- Install the new surge module, ensuring it is properly seated.
- Reassemble the back panel with the 4 screws.
- Plug the unit back in and test its functionality.
