1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the KingSom 2025 Upgrade Smart Pool Monitor. This device is designed to provide accurate and continuous monitoring of your pool, spa, or hot tub water quality. With its 7-in-1 detection capabilities and smart WiFi connectivity, you can easily maintain a balanced and healthy aquatic environment. This manual provides essential information for setup, operation, and maintenance of your new monitor.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the device for any visible damage. Ensure all listed accessories are present.

3.2 Battery Installation

  1. Unscrew the top cover of the monitor by turning it counter-clockwise.
  2. Gently pull out the battery compartment.
  3. Insert 2*AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Reinsert the battery compartment and screw the top cover back on tightly to ensure a waterproof seal.

3.3 App Download and Connection

  1. Download the KingSom Smart Pool Monitor app from your device's app store (iOS/Android).
  2. Register or log in to your account.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to add your new device. Ensure your monitor is powered on and within WiFi range.
  4. Confirm successful connection through the app interface.

3.4 Initial Calibration

For accurate readings, initial calibration is crucial. The monitor supports dual calibration with pre-mixed pH 4.0 and pH 7.0 solutions (included). Always start with pH 7.0 solution followed by pH 4.0 solution.

  1. Remove the electrode protection cap from the sensor probe.
  2. Follow the specific calibration steps detailed within the KingSom app for pH 7.0.
  3. Rinse the probe with distilled water.
  4. Proceed with calibration for pH 4.0 as guided by the app.
  5. Ensure the probe is clean and dry before placing the monitor in water.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On the Device

To power on the KingSom Smart Pool Monitor, long press the power button located on the device. A light indicator will confirm it is active.

4.2 Real-time Monitoring

Once powered on and connected to the app, the monitor will continuously measure water parameters. Open the KingSom app on your smartphone to view real-time data. The app displays current readings for pH, Chlorine, ORP, TDS, UV, LSI, and Temperature.

4.3 Understanding Readings and Ideal Ranges

Refer to the table below for ideal ranges of each parameter. Maintaining water within these ranges is essential for a healthy and safe environment.

4.4 Setting Personalized Alerts

Within the KingSom app, you can set custom maximum and minimum thresholds for each parameter (CL, pH, UV, ORP, Temperature, TDS). If a reading falls outside your set range, the app will display a prominent red exclamation mark and send immediate alerts, allowing you to take prompt action.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Sensor Cleaning

Regularly clean the sensor probe to ensure accurate readings. Gently wipe the probe with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn deposits, use a mild cleaning solution specifically designed for sensor probes, then rinse thoroughly with distilled water.

5.2 Calibration Frequency

It is recommended to recalibrate the pH sensor periodically, especially if you notice inconsistent readings or after prolonged periods of non-use. Follow the in-app calibration guide for best results.

5.3 Battery Replacement

When the battery level is low, the app will notify you. Replace the batteries as described in Section 3.2 to ensure continuous operation.
