1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper use, setup, and maintenance of your Poedagar Automatic Mechanical Watch, model POE805L-001. Please read this manual carefully to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your timepiece.

3. Setup and Initial Use

3.1. Winding the Watch

As an automatic mechanical watch, it is powered by the motion of your wrist. However, for initial use or if the watch has stopped, it can be manually wound:

• Ensure the crown is in its fully pushed-in position (Position 0).
• Rotate the crown clockwise approximately 20-30 times. This will provide enough power reserve to start the watch.
• The watch will continue to wind itself with regular wear. If worn daily for 8-10 hours, manual winding may not be necessary.

3.2. Setting the Time

1. Pull the crown out to Position 1 (the outermost position).
2. Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands clockwise or counter-clockwise until the desired time is set.
3. Once the time is set, push the crown back into Position 0.

3.3. Setting Day, Date, and Month

Your watch features subdials for Day, Date, and Month. These are typically adjusted using small recessed push buttons on the side of the watch case. Use a small, non-sharp tool (like a toothpick or the end of a paperclip) to press these buttons.

• Setting the Date: Locate the recessed button for the date subdial (usually near the 4 o'clock or 8 o'clock position). Press it repeatedly until the correct date is displayed.
• Setting the Day: Locate the recessed button for the day subdial (usually near the 2 o'clock or 10 o'clock position). Press it repeatedly until the correct day of the week is displayed.
• Setting the Month: Locate the recessed button for the month subdial (usually near the 6 o'clock or 12 o'clock position). Press it repeatedly until the correct month is displayed.

Caution: Do not attempt to set the date, day, or month between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this can damage the movement. Adjust these functions outside of this time window.

4. Operating Your Watch

Once set, your automatic watch will operate continuously as long as it is worn regularly. The self-winding mechanism harnesses the kinetic energy from your arm's motion to power the watch. If the watch is not worn for an extended period (typically 36-48 hours), it may stop and require manual winding and time/date adjustment.

Luminous Display:

The watch features a luminous display on its hands and hour markers. After exposure to light, these elements will glow in low-light conditions, allowing for easy time reading in the dark.

5. Maintenance and Care

5.1. Cleaning

• Wipe the watch case and band regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints.
• For stainless steel bands, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

5.2. Water Resistance (3ATM / 30 Meters)

Your watch is rated for 3ATM (30 meters) water resistance. This means it is suitable for daily use, such as accidental splashes, rain, and hand washing. It is not suitable for showering, bathing, swimming, diving, or any water sports.

• Do not operate the crown or push buttons when the watch is wet or submerged in water.
• Ensure the crown is always fully pushed in to maintain water resistance.

5.3. General Care

• Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes.
• Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields, as these can affect the accuracy of the mechanical movement.
• Avoid dropping the watch or subjecting it to strong impacts.
• For optimal performance, it is recommended to have your mechanical watch serviced by a professional watchmaker every 3-5 years.

6. Troubleshooting

Watch Stops or Runs Inaccurately:

• Insufficient Power Reserve: If the watch has not been worn for a while or not enough movement has occurred, it may stop. Manually wind the watch by rotating the crown clockwise 20-30 times.
• Magnetic Interference: Exposure to strong magnetic fields (e.g., from speakers, refrigerators, or certain electronic devices) can affect the watch's accuracy. If you suspect this, a watchmaker can demagnetize it.
• Impact: A severe impact can affect the delicate internal components. If the watch continues to run inaccurately after winding, professional inspection may be required.

Date/Day/Month Not Changing Correctly:

• Ensure you are not attempting to adjust these functions between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM.
• Verify that the crown is fully pushed in after setting the time.
