Setup
Battery Installation:
The Protmex YT606 requires 4 AAA batteries (included). Follow these steps to install them:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
- Use the included screwdriver to open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 4 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.
A low battery indicator will appear on the LCD screen when the batteries need to be replaced.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off:
- Press the Power button (①) to turn the device on.
- Press and hold the Power button (①) for a few seconds to turn the device off.
Measurement Modes:
The YT606 offers four primary measurement modes:
- Ambient Temperature: Displays the current air temperature.
- Relative Humidity (RH): Shows the percentage of moisture in the air relative to the maximum amount it can hold at that temperature.
- Wet Bulb Temperature (WB): The temperature read by a thermometer covered in water-soaked cloth over which air is passed.
- Dew Point Temperature (DP): The temperature at which air becomes saturated with water vapor and dew begins to form.
To switch between Dew Point (DP) and Wet Bulb (WB) temperature displays, press the DP/WB button.

Note: For stable and accurate readings, especially when moving the device between different environments, allow approximately 10 minutes for the sensor to adapt to the new conditions before taking measurements.
Unit Switching (°C/°F):
To switch the temperature unit between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F), short-press the °C/°F button.

Data Hold Function:
To hold the current measurement on the display, short-press the H (Hold) button. Press it again to release the data hold and resume live readings.

MAX/MIN Value Display:
To view the maximum or minimum recorded values since the device was powered on or reset:
- Press the MIN/MAX button once to display the maximum (MAX) values.
- Press the MIN/MAX button again to display the minimum (MIN) values.
- Press the MIN/MAX button a third time to return to live readings.

Data Logging (MEM/READ):
The YT606 can store up to 99 groups of data.
- To store the current reading, press the MEM button.
- To recall stored data, press the READ button. Use the up/down arrow buttons to navigate through the stored data groups.

Backlight Function:
To turn the LCD backlight on or off, press the Backlight button (✱).

Automatic Power-Off:
The device is set to automatically shut down after 30 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life. This feature can be canceled if continuous operation is required. Refer to the full user manual for instructions on how to disable this function.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

- Sensor Care: The high-precision sensor is delicate. Avoid touching it directly or exposing it to dust and debris.
