The Protmex YT606 is a high-precision digital hygrometer designed for accurate measurement of ambient temperature, relative humidity, wet bulb temperature, and dew point temperature. It features a Swiss-made STH 45 semiconductor sensor for quick and reliable data collection. Setup

Battery Installation:

The Protmex YT606 requires 4 AAA batteries (included). Follow these steps to install them:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
  2. Use the included screwdriver to open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 4 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

A low battery indicator will appear on the LCD screen when the batteries need to be replaced.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off:

Measurement Modes:

The YT606 offers four primary measurement modes:

To switch between Dew Point (DP) and Wet Bulb (WB) temperature displays, press the DP/WB button.

Note: For stable and accurate readings, especially when moving the device between different environments, allow approximately 10 minutes for the sensor to adapt to the new conditions before taking measurements.

Unit Switching (°C/°F):

To switch the temperature unit between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F), short-press the °C/°F button.

Data Hold Function:

To hold the current measurement on the display, short-press the H (Hold) button. Press it again to release the data hold and resume live readings.

MAX/MIN Value Display:

To view the maximum or minimum recorded values since the device was powered on or reset:

Data Logging (MEM/READ):

The YT606 can store up to 99 groups of data.

Backlight Function:

To turn the LCD backlight on or off, press the Backlight button ().

Automatic Power-Off:

The device is set to automatically shut down after 30 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life. This feature can be canceled if continuous operation is required. Refer to the full user manual for instructions on how to disable this function.

Maintenance

Troubleshooting
