4. Setup

1. Insert Batteries: Locate the battery compartment on the back of the separate LCD display. Insert the 2 AAA batteries provided, ensuring correct polarity.
2. Connect Display: Connect the coiled cable from the weighing platform to the separate LCD display.
3. Placement: Place the scale on a flat, stable surface. Ensure the non-slip feet are securely positioned. The separate display can be placed on a tabletop or mounted on a wall using the provided back nail slots and screws.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

• Press the Power button (orange button with power symbol) to turn the scale on.
• To turn off, press and hold the Power button for a few seconds until the display turns off.

5.2. Unit Conversion

• Press the UNIT (U) button to cycle through available weighing units: kg, lb, oz, and lb:oz.

5.3. Hold Function

The Hold function allows you to lock the weight display, which is useful for weighing large or irregularly shaped items that might obscure the display.

• Place the item on the weighing platform.
• Once the weight stabilizes, press the HOLD (H) button. The display will show "HOLD" and the weight will be locked.
• You can now remove the item, and the weight will remain displayed.
• Press the HOLD (H) button again to release the function and return to normal weighing mode.

5.4. Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so you can measure only the contents.

• Place an empty container on the weighing platform.
• Wait for the weight to stabilize, then press the TARE (T) button. The display will reset to 0.00.
• Now, place the items you wish to weigh into the container. The display will show the net weight of the items.
• To exit Tare mode, remove the container and its contents, then press the TARE (T) button again. The display will return to 0.00 or show a negative value equal to the container's weight, which can be zeroed by pressing Tare once more.

5.5. Helpful Indicators

• "Lo" (Low Battery Alert): Appears when batteries are low and need to be replaced or recharged.
• "Err" (Overload Warning): Appears when the weight on the platform exceeds the scale's maximum capacity. Remove excess weight immediately to prevent damage.
