5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Battery Installation

The Varstrom 48V13Ah Ebike Battery is designed for easy installation and removal, typically on the downtube of your ebike frame.

1. Unlock and Remove Base: Use the provided key to unlock the battery from its base. Slide the battery off the mounting plate.
2. Prepare Mounting Plate: The battery fix plate (6 PIN base) needs to be secured to your bike frame.
3. Attach Plate to Frame: Align the battery fix plate with the mounting holes on your ebike frame's downtube. Use the provided screws and rubber spacers to securely fasten the plate.

5.2 Electrical Connection

The battery's discharge wire connects to your ebike's motor or controller. The package includes an XT60 extension cable. If your motor connector is not XT60, you may need to adapt your existing cable or use the provided conversion cable.

Easy Connection (Without Tools for XT60)

If your motor/controller has an XT60 connector, simply connect the battery's XT60 output to it.

Connecting to Different Connectors

If your motor/controller uses a different connector type, you will need to adapt the XT60 extension cable:

1. Carefully cut a small section of the rubber insulation from the battery's discharge wire and the corresponding connector wire from your motor/controller.
2. Connect the red wire from the battery to the red wire of your motor/controller, and the black wire from the battery to the black wire of your motor/controller. Twist them together securely.
3. Wrap the connection with electrical tape to insulate and secure it.

After connecting the extension cable to the battery, the other end of the connector can be directly connected to the controller or the motor.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

Locate the power switch on the battery. Press it to turn the battery on or off. Ensure the battery is securely locked to the bike frame before riding.

6.2 Checking Battery Level

The battery features an integrated LED power indicator. Press the button next to the LEDs to view the current charge level. This helps you monitor the battery status and recharge promptly.

6.3 USB Charging Port
