Important Safety Instructions
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:
- Read all instructions thoroughly before operating the appliance.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plugs, or the main unit in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

- The hot pot is NOT dishwasher safe. Clean only as instructed in the Maintenance section.

Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the hot pot for any damage.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the interior of the pot with a soft cloth and warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
- Placement: Place the electric hot pot on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface away from flammable materials.
- Connect Power: Insert the detachable power cord securely into the appliance's power inlet, then plug the other end into a standard electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
The Stariver Electric Hot Pot offers two power settings for various cooking needs:
- 150W (Simmer Mode): Ideal for gentle heating, keeping food warm, or slow cooking. Perfect for cheese fondue, hot cocoa, or fried eggs.
- 600W (Boil Mode): For rapid boiling and cooking. Suitable for hot pot, chicken noodle soup, instant oatmeal, ramen, pasta, and boiling eggs.

General Operation:
- Add Ingredients: Place your desired ingredients and liquid into the non-stick pot. The 1.5L capacity is suitable for 1-2 people.
- Select Power: Turn the control knob to select either the 150W (low) or 600W (high) setting. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Cover: Place the heat-resistant glass lid on the pot.
- Cook: Allow the food to cook. The advanced round embedded heating technology ensures even heat distribution.
- Monitor: Use the transparent glass lid to monitor cooking progress. The steam vent helps prevent boil-overs.
- Finish: Once cooking is complete, turn the control knob to the "OFF" position and unplug the power cord from the outlet.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your Stariver Electric Hot Pot.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Clean Interior: The non-stick interior makes cleaning simple. Just a quick rinse with warm water and a gentle sponge is usually sufficient. For stubborn food residue, soak the pot in warm, soapy water for a few minutes before wiping clean.
- Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the hot pot with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the finish.
- Glass Lid: The glass lid can be washed with warm, soapy water and rinsed thoroughly.
- DO NOT immerse the main unit in water or place it in a dishwasher. This appliance is not dishwasher safe.
- Storage: Ensure the hot pot is completely dry before storing. The detachable power cord can be stored inside the pot for convenience. Store in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting

- Appliance not turning on:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the appliance and a working electrical outlet.
- Check if the control knob is set to either 150W or 600W.
- Verify that the electrical outlet is functioning by plugging in another appliance.
- Food not heating or cooking slowly:
- Ensure the correct power setting (150W for simmer, 600W for boil) is selected for your cooking needs.
- Check that the lid is properly placed to retain heat.
- Ensure the amount of food or liquid does not exceed the 1.5L capacity.
- Appliance automatically shuts off:
- The hot pot has built-in overheat and boil-dry protection. If the pot runs out of water or becomes too hot, it will automatically shut off for safety. Allow the unit to cool down before refilling and restarting.
