3. Setup Instructions

The ANNKE H800 system features a Plug & Play PoE setup, making installation straightforward.

3.1 NVR Connection

  1. Connect the NVR to a power outlet using the provided power adapter.
  2. Connect the NVR to your router using an Ethernet cable for network access.
  3. Connect a monitor to the NVR via HDMI or VGA port (cable not included) and attach the USB mouse for local control.

3.2 Camera Installation and Connection

The cameras are powered and transmit data via a single Ethernet cable (PoE).

  1. Install Cameras: Mount the cameras in desired outdoor locations, ensuring a clear field of view and secure attachment.
  2. Connect Cameras: Connect each camera to an available PoE port on the NVR using an Ethernet cable. No separate power cables are needed for the cameras.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Remote Access via ANNKE Vision App

Access your security system remotely from anywhere using the ANNKE Vision App.

  1. Download the ANNKE Vision App from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  2. Register an account and log in.
  3. Add your NVR system to the app by scanning the QR code on the NVR or manually entering its details.
  4. Once added, you can view live feeds, playback recordings, and receive alerts. The system supports remote access for up to 32 users.

4.5 Third-Party Platform Integration

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your ANNKE H800 security system.

  • Camera Lens Cleaning: Periodically clean camera lenses with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or water spots that may obscure the view. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  • Cable Inspection: Regularly check all Ethernet cables for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections. Ensure weatherproof connections are sealed.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the ANNKE official website or the ANNKE Vision App for available firmware updates for your NVR and cameras. Keeping firmware updated ensures the latest features and security patches.
  • NVR Ventilation: Ensure the NVR is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating. Keep vents clear of obstructions.
  • Storage Management: The H.265+ compression technology helps manage storage efficiently. However, regularly review recordings and back up important footage as needed. The 2TB HDD provides ample storage for 7/24 recording.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ANNKE H800 system, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

6.1 No Video Display

  • Check Power: Ensure the NVR is powered on and its power adapter is securely connected.
  • Check Camera Connections: Verify that all PoE cameras are securely connected to the NVR's PoE ports with functional Ethernet cables.
  • Monitor Connection: If using a local monitor, ensure it is correctly connected to the NVR via HDMI/VGA and is powered on.
  • Network Issues: For remote viewing, ensure the NVR is connected to the internet and your mobile device has network access.

6.2 No Remote Access

  • Internet Connection: Confirm the NVR is connected to the internet and your router is functioning correctly.
  • App Status: Ensure the ANNKE Vision App is updated to the latest version.
  • NVR Status: Check the NVR's network settings to ensure it has a valid IP address and is online.
  • Firewall/Router Settings: Your router's firewall or security settings might be blocking access. Consult your router's manual or ISP for assistance.

6.3 False Motion Alerts

  • Adjust Sensitivity: Reduce the motion detection sensitivity in the NVR settings or ANNKE Vision App.
  • Configure Detection Zones: Exclude areas with frequent non-threatening motion (e.g., trees swaying, busy roads) from the detection zones.
  • AI Detection: Ensure AI Human/Vehicle Detection is enabled to filter out irrelevant motion.
