1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, installation, operation, and maintenance of your Xega 4G Cellular Solar Powered Wildlife Camera. This camera is designed for remote, off-grid surveillance in locations without Wi-Fi or consistent power access, such as rural areas, gardens, campsites, driveways, farms, and wildlife observation sites. It operates via a built-in 4G SIM card, requiring a data plan for full functionality.

The camera features a durable, weather-resistant housing with a camouflage pattern, dual antennas for 4G connectivity, a main lens, infrared LEDs for night vision, and a motion sensor. The included solar panel continuously charges the internal 9000mAh battery, ensuring extended operation.

4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the camera's internal 9000mAh battery using the provided USB charging cable. Connect the cable to the camera's charging port and a standard USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator will show progress.

4.2 SIM Card & SD Card

The camera comes with a pre-inserted 300MB trial Nano SIM card. This SIM card is built-in and cannot be replaced. For continuous operation, a 4G internet data plan subscription is required after the trial. An SD card (up to 128GB, sold separately) is recommended for local storage of footage.

4.3 App Download & Account Creation

Download the 'Ubox' app from your smartphone's app store (Android/iOS). Follow the in-app instructions to create an account and add your camera device. You will typically scan a QR code located on the camera for easy pairing.

4.4 Data Plan Activation

The included 300MB trial data is for initial setup. To ensure continuous remote access and live streaming, activate a suitable 4G data plan through the Ubox app. Data plans are available for various durations (e.g., 30, 180, 360 days) and are only available in the United States.

5. Installation

5.1 Mounting the Camera

The camera can be mounted using the provided mounting bracket or strap. For tree installation, thread the strap through the designated slots on the camera's back panel and secure it around the tree. For wall mounting, use the bracket and screws to fix it to a surface.

5.2 Mounting the Solar Panel

Attach the 5W solar panel to its mounting bracket. Position the solar panel in an area that receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day to ensure continuous charging. Connect the 9.8ft solar panel cable to the camera's charging port.

5.3 Placement Considerations

Choose a location that provides a clear view of the area you wish to monitor. Ensure the camera is within 4G cellular coverage. The camera has an IP66 waterproof rating, making it suitable for outdoor use in various weather conditions.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Remote Access & Live Viewing

Access live 2K resolution footage from your smartphone via the Ubox app. The camera offers 355° pan and 110° tilt for nearly 360° coverage, controllable remotely. Utilize the 4X digital zoom for closer inspection.

6.2 Smart Motion Detection & Alerts

The advanced motion sensor triggers instant notifications to your phone when activity is detected. You can view live or recorded footage immediately. Set custom motion detection zones and schedule alerts within the app to reduce false alarms and optimize data usage.

6.3 Two-Way Audio

Utilize the two-way audio feature through the Ubox app to communicate with individuals near the camera or deter unwanted visitors.

6.4 Night Vision

The camera provides full-color night vision, capturing clear images even in total darkness. It also supports infrared night vision with a range of up to 65 feet.

Footage can be stored locally on a memory card (sold separately) or via optional cloud storage. A 30-day free trial for cloud storage is available, offering bank-level encryption for data security.

8. Troubleshooting
